Is There Enough Ground Water Available in Clovis, CA. 93619 After going through what is now a third straight drought year, home buyers more than ever need to look into water issues they could face when shopping for new homes.  I am speaking mainly about homes in rural areas where they are not hooked up to city water lines.  Such homes may have a private, domestic well or they may even be on some sort of a community well or water system.  There are parts of Clovis such as Appaloosa Acres which are notorious for a lack of water.  But what about now that the Governor of California has declared this an official drought year?  Not only does everyone living around you use water but in Clovis there are many acres of AG land that use AG wells which can deplete the water table. One tell tale si...

Clovis Named the Best City for Young Families in California 2014 The California economy is currently experiencing a renewal of sorts.  The state is currently operating in the black and the housing market is looking much stronger than others across the country.  The Central Valley real estate market looks especially good.  Financial advice website NerdWallet.com has analyzed several cities throughout the state and Clovis was named the Best City for Young Families in California 2014. What makes Clovis so great?  Great public schools (92.6% graduation rate vs 78.5% California state average), a 54.4% increase in median household income (from 1999 to 2011) and extremely affordable Clovis homes are only part of the reason young families should set down roots here.  Family-friendly activities ...

One of the hot topics relative to website design for SEO is the addition of video. There are many companies who can do the editing and post-production work to polish videos and companies selling video content for Realtors, too. One of the local brokers has a rather lenghty video of a virtual flight over our town which flags the more attractive and well known developments. The same broker has a separate website with all of the same developments featured as indivudual communities with video tours much like the ones which are done for single listings, along with a single paragraph write up.  Some recent discussions have suggested doing video tours of local highlights such as parks, museums, trails, the rodeo, farmer's market, etc. for online community education. Others focused on just obta...

Returning home late on a winter day just at Christmas, I found a single rose deposited on my doorstep. At the close of a bitterly disappointing year, I had done nothing to observe the year's last giving tide. Taking the rose inside I wrote of my thoughts.   I Found A Rose At Christmas   I found a rose at Christmas, this year when I'll have no tree. It's come in to stand alone, a Christmas symbol for me.   Lovely Christmas rose, can you replace the tree That blossomed every year with light so splendidly?  The tree so tall and green, its branches heavy with hue, Garlanded with gold and silver, towering high over you?   Early on we'd haul the tree through the double door, With graceful ceremony we'd place it center floor.   Over days intervening we festooned the tree with light. Strings of...
