 She Was Removing The Electrical From The Home   Sometimes you just can't explain why people do the things they do; It can be worse when it is not caught in the early stages. I came across this mess yesterday. It appears that the woman who lived here felt the need to dig into the sheetrock walls and begin pulling out the electrical wires from inside.   You Know You Measured Right When There is Only Tiny Pieces Left     It is always a challenge to order enough materials but not too much that you have to lug it back to the store or store it in the garage for eternity. Sure there will always be some waste but minimal amounts are ideal. Today we managed to guess just right.   Yes I Do See The Crack In The Concrete Wall, But What's Up With The Razor-wire?     As a General Contractor in the Sacramento Region, I get to work on homes throughout the area. I have an opportunity to do repairs and improvements, and see many different sights. I was called to look at some cracking in a concrete block wall in Citrus Heights. The damaged wall was caused by the roots of a very large tree. All of that can be fixed in a timely manner. What really concerned me was the security measures taken by some of the neighbors.   How About If I Come Back When You Are Ready?       One of the most frustrating things that happens when doing repairs in an apartment community is that the tenants aren't always ready and respectful of the contractors time. So if there is something that needs to be done inside someones unit that is not an emergency, generally a 24 hour notice is necessary to enter the unit. I work regularly under this type of scheduling.   As you may guess, it can be a bit tricky in maintaining a productive schedule when others are involved.   The p-trap is an integral part of your plumbing system, it serves an important function and needs to be in place. Any plumbing drain in your home or office will have this, anything that drains into the sewer line. The shape of the p-trap creates a pocket of water that prevents the sewer gases from entering you home.   It is true for all drains; sinks, toilets, washing machines, and tubs all have a trap.
