What are home sales like in Chino, California? The months of supply of homes for sale in Chino, CA for the month of January 2011 shows a 4.1 month supply of homes to sell. From this time last year, the supply of homes for sale has decreased by 49%. The supply and demand for homes in Chino CA  shows us there were only 2% more homes for sale this January 2011 than there were last January 2010, the demand from buyers for homes in Chino CA increased 48%. January 2010 there were 29 homes sold whereas this January 2011, there were 43 homes sold. Borders Bookstore declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy as yet the latest giant to fall as a result of a sluggish economy. It’s quite sad that the Borders Bookstore Chino CA store located in the Chino Spectrum Town Center at 3833 Grand Ave is one of the Inland Empire stores slated for closure by April. It was Chino’s first major bookstore until Barnes and Noble in Chino Hills joined the ranks just a few years ago. In fact, my kids and I just spent hours there on Monday hanging out buying books and other goodies. I even renewed my membership. Annual Run for Russ 5K Run/Walk Saturday Feb. 5, 2011The Annual Run for Russ 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, February 5 at 8 a.m. This annual run/walk is to honor Officer Miller, a 12-year veteran of Chino Police Department. A woman who apparently ignored warning signs and road block markers has died in the rain water that accumulated and submerged Euclid Avenue just East of the 71 Freeway.  She drove her car into the water (possibly not seeing the water covering the road).  A Good Samaritan who saw the incident went into the water to rescue the woman.  He pulled her from the sunroof and when emergency crews arrived, they were atop the car.  The woman died shortly thereafter.  The lesson to be taken from this.... always respect warning signs when posted. When searching for that perfect home, you drive into the neighborhood and suddenly feel it grab you...you feel like, "Yes, I could live here!"... Have you ever gotten that feeling?   Several years ago, I drove up to a home that I had called on in the newspaper, and immediately thought to myself, "This home would never work for me!  Look at how the driveway slopes down towards the garage.  I bet when it rains, the garage floods."  But since I was there, I thought, I may as well go inside.
