Borders Bookstore declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy as yet the latest giant to fall as a result of a sluggish economy. It’s quite sad that the Borders Bookstore Chino CA store located in the Chino Spectrum Town Center at 3833 Grand Ave is one of the Inland Empire stores slated for closure by April. It was Chino’s first major bookstore until Barnes and Noble in Chino Hills joined the ranks just a few years ago. A woman who apparently ignored warning signs and road block markers has died in the rain water that accumulated and submerged Euclid Avenue just East of the 71 Freeway.  She drove her car into the water (possibly not seeing the water covering the road).  A Good Samaritan who saw the incident went into the water to rescue the woman.  He pulled her from the sunroof and when emergency crews arrived, they were atop the car.  The woman died shortly thereafter.  The lesson to be taken from this.... always respect warning signs when posted.
