Halloween in Carlsbad Village The Annual Halloween in the Village takes place in Carlsbad on Saturday October 26th from 2:00 to 6:00 pm with all sorts of Halloween fun and games. The Halloween in the Village event is FREE, and so is the parking in Carlsbad. The Carlsbad Village Association does a marvelous job of promoting businesses and Village events, and Halloween in the Village is one of many.Kids in costume should stop by 2697 State Street early to pick up their free Jack-o-Lantern bucket (only 250 will be available) to hold their treasures. Kids can trick or treat at participating businesses in the Village. Carlsbad Village Street Faire ~ November 3, 2024 ~ The Carlsbad Village Street Faire is a hugely popular event for 45 years, returning to Carlsbad Village Sunday, November 3rd. The Faire is hosted by the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Kennedy and Associates. The Carlsbad Village Street Faire is reported to be the largest outdoor 1-day fair in the US. There is also a Carlsbad Village Street Faire held every May. The Carlsbad Village Street Faire is held from 8 am until 4 pm. 2024 Carlsbad Art in the Village  Carlsbad art lovers will be pleased the 26th Annual Art in the Village Fair will be here soon, a few days after the 1st day of summer. This popular fine art event will showcase around 130 local and regional artists, and takes place Sunday June 23rd.  The fair runs from 9 am until 5 pm and attendance is free. You’ll find Art in the Village along State Street and Grand Avenue in the heart of downtown. Art in the Village is sponsored by the Carlsbad Village Association, and there will be new and returning artists. Artist selection is juried so you can expect high quality. All artwork is handcrafted and unique. The 2024 Carlsbad 5000~ April 7 in Carlsbad CA ~ Carlsbad hosts several premier running events during the year. The Carlsbad 5000, on April 7th, is reported to be the world’s fastest 5K race. Several world and US records have been set, and broken, since the race was established in 1986. No doubt runners will attempt to set new records in 2024! The Carlsbad 5000 is presented by National University. There’s still time to register online, but don’t delay as this event usually sells out. There are multiple races on Sunday April 7th. Of course there is the big race, the Carlsbad 5000 (5K), as well as the All Day 20K (four 5K races) with 4 categories of runners. Carlsbad Art Wall Meet and GreetThe Carlsbad community is invited to a Meet and Greet event at the Carlsbad Art Wall, to celebrate the Valley Middle School Visual and Performing Arts Department. This fun event takes place Saturday January 27 from 10 am until 2 pm and is being coordinated by the school. A special feature will be the creation of a new collaborative art wall mural led by Carlsbad artist Bryan Snyder’s art students. This will be the 39th mural since the founding of the Carlsbad Art Wall in 2015. The Carlsbad Art Wall was founded by Bryan Snyder in cooperation with the owner of Senor Grubby’s Mexican Restaurant in Carlsbad Village.
