I stopped by the CARDIFF KOOK in Cardiff by the Sea yesterday on my travels back from Solana Beach yesterday to see how the KOOK was dressed. The Cardiff Kook is a well-known surfing statue on the Coast Highway in Cardiff, perhaps best known for the various costumes it adorns during the year at holidays and special events (e.g., the Royal Wedding), rather than for the status itself, other than the notoriety. Whether you like the statue itself or not, OR the sometimes wild and crazy way the Kook gets dressed, you have to admit it has garnered a ton of attention, and the creativity is pretty amazing sometimes.
