9/11 Celebration of Life in Shanksville, PennsylvaniaSite of Flight 93's Crash in the Pennsylvania Countryside  In 2012, while on vacation in Pennsylvania, we drove to Shanksville, PA to visit the Memorial Park which is the crash site of Flight 93. 40 passengers/crew died that morning as it was plunged into the ground in the beautiful countryside near Lancaster. Through investigation and cell conversations just prior to the crash, it was the opinion of the experts that the passengers took back over the plane before it could be crashed into the Capitol Building. Unfortunately they could not survive but became true heroes that will never be forgotten. This week Sept 10, 2015, the 26 Million Dollar Visitor Center was opened showing photos, videos, and thousand of pieces of memorabilia taken...

Pet Safety on the 4th of July Weekend Here are some suggestions" Do not put your pets outside while the firework events are active. Do not take them to the fireworks display. Make sure they are wearing their tags in case they get scared and run off. If you are at home, spend the hour with them to keep them comforted. Do not let them go outside unless they are on a secure leash. Make sure your fence does not have holes that they can get through. If you find a dog, post it on Facebook and report it to Animal Control. Make posters and put up in neighborhoods  if you find or lose a pet so others will see it. Thanks for Reading my Real Estate Blog

Pet Vaccinations Can Cause Emergencies...Beware of Dangerous SymptomsToday was just a normal day and I had an appointment to take my two chihuahuas to the vet for their annual 5-1 shot and Rabies.  Of course they acted up and one slipped her halter but we finally go situated in the examining room and waited. Here is a picture of the two of them moving the chair across the room. The photo is a little blury as I had to stop them at the door. The vet examined them and they gave each 2 shots and we left for home. *They were so noisy that the staff was probably glad they had gone home.A few minutes late my husband came home and said why is CoCo's face swollen? I had a property showing that i canceled enroute back to the vet and got her there as fast a possible. They took her in the back and e...

Happy Flag Day and Long May She WaiveToday is National Flag Day as it was created by a proclamation in 1916 by President Woodrow Wilson. In 1949, it was established by an Act of Congress. Strangely enough, is not a national holiday  This picture was taken in Calimesa, CA yesterday as the flag was waiving in the breeze and was just so beautiful. While I was standing in the parking lot and getting my camera ready, it made me feel so proud to be an American while waiting for the perfect photo. It a flash, the flag makes me think of the "Pledge of Alliangance" and the "Star Spangled Banner". I love the history of our 'American Flag' and adore going to Philadelphia every year and going to Independence Hall where it all began.  Happy Flag Day and Long May She Waive!  Thanks for Reading my Rea...

Mother's Day Should Be Celebrated Every Day of the YearMother's Day is celebrated in the United States on the Second Sunday of May yearly. This year it was celebrated on May 10th, 2015 so most were buying flowers, gifts and taking their mother's out for a nice dinner to celebrate her day.  I personally think we should celebrate our mothers every day. We wouldn't be here if she hadn't given birth, protected and nourished us as babies and toddlers. And who made our lunches every morning to take to school in our lunchboxes, who cooked dinner every night and who yelled at us to get out of bed every morning to get dressed for school and come eat our healthy breakfast. Who took us out for a new Easter outfit yearly and made sure we posed for pictures plus who made sure we had our prom dress o...

When Negotiating a Deal, Sometimes You Must Walk AwayI have some friends who live out of state and they are negotiating a deal with a very experienced agent. They are trying to buy a house that has been on the market for a year. These buyers put in a lower offer and were willing to come up some but the sellers will not budge.  They called me to tell me of the counters but nothing has made the sellers budge. They are countering again tomorrow but this will be their last counter. My words to them last night were "Sometimes you have to walk away and focus on finding another house". When a house is obviously overpriced and the sellers refuse to negotiate after a year, then sometimes it just isn't the right house.  Houses go on the market everyday and the right house will show up soon and th...

CA Low SnowPack in Mountains is Causing Statewide DroughtLast week California water officials performed one of their regular measurements of the state’s snowpack and confirmed it is a startling 5 percent of normal – the lowest April 1 total on record. That snowfall in the state’s mountains – specifically the Sierra Nevada – serves as natural “frozen storage” for surface water supplies. Its runoff feeds streams, rivers and reservoirs throughout the year and provides about 30 percent of the water Californians depend on for drinking, growing food and other uses in a typical year. The California snowpack is historically at its peak by this time of the year, but has been been effected by low precipitation and warmer temperatures. Those warmer conditions have caused more precipitation to fall a...

Celebrate National Beer Day Today on April 7Happy National Beer Day!National Beer Day is celebrated every year on April 7 which was the day that beer was once again allowed to be legally manufactured and sold following Prohibition. On March 22, 1933, President Franklin Roosevelt signed the Cullen–Harrison Act into law which moved the U.S. away from Prohibition by allowing the manufacture and sale of beer which was approximately 4% alcohol by volume (just a little less than the average today) and some wines.  Roosevelt reportedly signed the document and then turned to his Aide, Louis Howe, and said “I think this would be a good time for a beer.”Prohibition would officially remain in place for a few more months but the ability to drink beer and wine was worth cheering. Here are a few more...

Spring is Coming so Watch out for Africanized Killer Bees  This week in Indian Wells, CA, firefighters had to be dispatched as a 71 year old woman who lived in a gated community was being attacked by killer bees as she was getting into her car. The other neighbors had run inside and shut their doors and windows and called 9-1-1.  Firefighters called the owner of a  company called Killer Bee Inc., who volunteers his services to the county and has 40+ years experience with tending bees. He found 75,000 African Agreesive Bees in the underground Verizon box. He sucked them out and took him to his isolated business address and plans to keep them. He further stated that  "they make sweeter honey".  The woman  (had over 1,000 bites on her) plus 5 firefighters all had to go to the hospital for ...

Look Who is Drinking in the Rain We had a big storm this weekend and while looking outside my window, I saw this poor hummingbird drinking in the pouring rain.   The little bird kept coming back over and over for a half hour or more. National Heart Disease Awareness on February 6, 2014 Have a Heart and Help Save Lives So has everyone noticed in the past week, everyone is wearing red on television? The TV ads news stations are showing everyone wearing red clothing. Do you know why?
