EVERYTHING HAS IT'S TIME ... For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, a time to die: a time to plant , and a time to pluck up what is planted: a time to kill, and a time to heal: a time to break down, and a time to build up: a time to weep, and a time to laugh: a time to mourn, and a time to dance: a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together: a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing: a time to seek, and a time to lose: a time to keep, and a time to throw away: a time to tear, and a time to sew: a time to keep silence, and a time to speak: a time to love, and a time to hate: a time for war and; and a time for peace ECCLESIATES 3: 2-8 🙏

Big Sur California is by far one of the most beautiful areas on the whole Pacific Coast.I have been traveling around the Big Sur area for approx 35 years and it's beauty never bores me.In this photo that I took around 2 months ago you can see that the hills are a little dry but look at this amazing aqua green and blue water. If you have never been to Big Sur south of Monterey I would suggest putting the visit in your bucket list. And if you have been to Big Sur don't you think it's time for another visit?  Blogging By Robert Vegas Bob Swetz: Pfeiffer State Park Big Sur ... videosbyvegasbob.blogspot.com/2018/04/pfeiffer-state-park-big-sur-california.html Pfeiffer State Park Big Sur California by Robert Swetz Here are several photographs of Big SurCalifornia that I have taken over the yea...

FHA 203k - What's in it for me, a Realtor?Isn't that really the reason we want addressed?  I believe so. I'll be speaking on March 2nd at the Calfornia Residential Real Estate Council (formerly the Council of Residential Specialists) event at the Monterey Association of REALTORS, 201-A Calle Del Oaks Pl., Del Rey Oaks, CA 93940You have all heard the same talk over and over again but no one tells you the answers. Our talk will be focusing on "What's in it for me, a Realtor?" because any other discussion would merely be reapeating what you have heard a hundred times. Be sure an get your reservation early to get a good seat. If you have a "favorite home inspector" bring them if you can or have them contact me as we are looking to improve our coverage in your area. With twenty-four offices ...

A Tribute to the Monterey Coastline and Big Sur The Monterey County coastline, including the Big Sur area, has endured substantial forest fires and landslides on more than one occasion, in addition to just being an area of unstable terrain above the ocean.  Unfortunately, this past winter's rains, while making a huge dent in the drought in California, caused substantially more damage than the area has experienced in the past, with another significant landslide that recently occurred that buried about 1/3 of a mile of Highway 1, closing the road indefinitely.  Here's a write-up and video from the San Diego Union Tribune. Reading about this latest tragedy inspired me to finally put some personal photos into a slide show, remembering the better days we enjoyed on 2 different trips along th...

Big Sur Coastal View  It's pretty hard to be wordless when driving the Big Sur coastline, and if you enjoy taking photos you spend a lot of time exclaiming, and stopping to take pictures of this extraordinary area. This was taken back in 2007, on one of our several trips up the coast to Monterey, San Francisco, and finally wine country. I'm ready to go again, although with the storms this past winter, landslides, and issues with the road and a bridge damaged beyond repair, I understand the area south of Pfeiffer Canyon (which includes the posh Ventana Inn and Post Ranch Inn, the iconic Nepenthe Restaurant, and a number of popular scenic spots and tourist attractions) are inaccessible to tourists. This view is as well, I believe, as it's located south of Nepenthe. Nice memories!  Hopeful...

Monday, November 21, 2016 Bixby Creek Bridge Big Bur California by Robert Swetz    The Bixby Creek Bridge located in Big Sur California is a very famous bridge that was build in 1932.  Residents of the Big Sur area were virtually cut off during winter due to the often impassable Old Coast Road that led 11 miles inland.  At its completion, the bridge was built under budget for $199,861 (equivalent to $3.5 million in 2015) and was the longest concrete arch span at 360 feet on the California State Highway System. It is one of the tallest single-span concrete bridges in the world. The Bixby Creek Bridge is one of the most photographed bridges in the state of California      Photographs taken by Robert Swetz 9/3/2016    Posted by Robert Swetz at 7:21 PM    Labels: Big Sur, Bixby Creek Bridge...

Big Sur California by Robert Swetz Robert Swetz going to Big Sur California  Saturday 9/17/2017 Robert "Vegas Bob" Swetz have been visiting Big Sur California since the late 70's when he first started traveling as a teenager.Big Sur California is by far one of Vegas Bob's favorite places next to Luguna Beach, Redwoods in NorCal 100 mile south of the Oregon border, Lake Tahoe just to name a few. What Robert Swetz loves most about the Big Sur area in the steep cliffs, aqua-colored waters and the feeling of an area that really hasn't been touched people.   Big Sur California is like stepping back in time, 50-100 years with very few homes, very few businesses and an area full of wild life. For anyone that has had the chance to visit Big Sur California you know exactly what I'm talking about, ...

The Big Sur Coastline in California   California has some really beautiful coastline, about 800 of miles of it. The Big Sur area in Monterey County is spectacular and a beautiful drive on a 2-lane road that will have you oohing and aahing at every turn..and boy, are there are lot of them. This is one of many vistas from our drive from Carlsbad to Napa along the coast back in 2012.

Big Views at Big Sur on California's Monterey Peninsula There is a certain mystique about Big Sur, on California's Monterey Peninsula - incredible mountain and ocean views along the winding 2-lane road, intriguing culture and history (the Esalen Institute), terrific hiking, camping, some high-end hotels (Ventana, Post Ranch) and dining with amazing views (Ventana, Nepenthe). Parts of the coast are very remote and there are some striking homes with gorgeous views (and prices to match!) The area has suffered from forest fires and experiences periodic mudslides due to the terrain, which can cause delays on the narrow road. Nonetheless it is a spectacular drive and a photographer's dream IMO. If you've been you know what I mean. If not, it is well worth the trip, as long as you don't expect...

" One of the most beautiful coastlines in the world "  California, (BIG SUR). California to me has to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth, next to Alaska and Oregon.  I have traveled to California ever since 1974. I moved to Portland Oregon when I was 16 years old with one of my best friends. I worked 6 months out of the year and traveled 6 months out of the year. And where do you think I traveled to? (California) of course!  All the way down the whole coast through the Redwoods in Humboldt County, Mount Shasta in Redding, San Francisco, Monterrey, Carmel where Clint Eastwood has a restaurant and lives, Fresno, Big Sur, San Luis Obispo, Goletta, Ventura, Santa Monica, Malibu, Burbank, Los Angeles (City of Angels), San Diego, just to name a few!  I have traveled so many times t...
