Desert Knolls is a lovely area in Apple Valley, CA.  As you may suspect, it has gentle hills an lovely views.It's a growing commercial area with many restaurants and shopping.  The homes are well established with a few new homes being built. On to the news.In the last 3 months of 2017, 91 homes sold.The average home was 2305 sq ft. and sold at $304,884. That average home price dropped from $311777.It sold at $134.92 a sq ft in 75 days, at 98% of asking.Desert Knolls prices have been holding this year at at same average selling price.So prices are holding steady in this area. We are seeing other areas running a warmer market, mainly the area near Ranchero in Hesperia. People seem excited to get on the freeway quickly and get down the hill.My drive time to Victoria Gardens from my Desert ...

Desert Knolls NEWS! There are currently 117 homes for sale in the area of Desert Knolls in Apple Valley.There are 58 houses under 2500 sq ft. The average house is 2056 sq ft and is listed for about $302,500.There are 69 houses over 2500 sq ft. The average house is 3524 sq ft and is listed for about $487,000.There are 50 houses pending (aka in escrow), the average house is 2438 sq ft and is listed at $335,849.The news is interesting, there were 76 sold homes in the last 2 months . The average home sold was just under 2400 sq ft. was about $132 a sq ft. originally listed for $325,415 and sold at $316,279 which was 98% of the asking price. Halloween Market Report, Desert Knolls, CA Early results on the Oct 2016 sales for Desert Knolls are in.More sales will be reported at homes close later in the day.  Those sales may take a few days to show up in our market MLS data.Briefly there are 175 homes currently listed as of today.There are 47 homes pending or in escrow or under contract depending on your vernacular.   The homes pending average 2626 square feet, they have been on the market 69 days and are listed for $4500 less than their original price.So far 39 homes have been reported as sold this month. It's  raining, it's hailing, it's snowing in the high desert!  Not big news to most of you in the county, but it's always a thrill when you live in the desert.  My facebook feed is blowing up with postings of the local weather.Since we don't get a ton of rain there are a few great reasons to look for houses when it's raining.One is you can see if that stain is from an active leak or if it's old and just not painted over.  Also it's great to know which way the water flows across the property.El Nino is coming.  We live in a flash flood area.  Don't drive across flooded streets. I love FRENCH FRIES!!!!!!!!!!!  Just staying so I only go to Red Robin on special occasions because they have unlimited fries and I've been known to order more than I should.  But this is a super great reason to eat fries........So let's make this a great fund raiser.  Wow! Isn't this great!  Eat dinner at Red Robin and donate the tip to Special Olympics.  Come support our local law enforcement as they support this community effort.Cops, Special Olympics and FRENCH FRIES,  whoo hoo!  I'll be there and I hope that I see you.This is an event we can all support and appreciate, and there are french fries!
