Things to do in Alameda on September 1 and 2, 2018 Alameda Walks- this week walkers will visit the Elsie Roemer Bird Sanctuary, on Saturday, September 1. The walk begins at 9:00 am and will begin at Krusi Park, High Street, and Calhoun, and will continue on to Shoreline Drive and learn something about Elsie Roemer who was instrumental in creating the bird sanctuary. The walk will be 1 hour and The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public Saturday, September 1, and Tuesday, September 4 mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine. All the fruits and vegetables are available at great prices. So good! Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
