Carlsbad's 1st Creative Cultures Arts Festival World Day for Cultural Diversity is celebrated on May 21 and has been since 2002. To recognize this special day, Carlsbad will be holding its first Creative Cultures Arts Festival on Saturday May 17th. The festival will be held at the Carlsbad Library Learning Center at 3368 Eureka Place from 12 noon until 2:00 pm. The festival is free to attend. I have been anticipating the 3rd amaryllis blossom for over a week and thought it might open on a Friday as the other 2 had. 2025 Fiesta del Sol in Solana Beach  The 44th annual Fiesta del Sol is coming soon, on May 31st and June 1st in Solana Beach.  The Festival is sponsored by the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Belly Up and the City of Solana Beach. Festival hours are from 9 am to 10 pm on Saturday, and 9 am to 8 pm on Sunday. Fiesta del Sol takes place at Fletcher Cove Park at 111 S. Sierra Avenue, just west of the downtown area and the Coast Road/Route 101. The Fiesta del Sol is one of San Diego’s more popular outdoor festivals.
