WARNING!!! For anyone not living in the desert southwest (and for many that do), the following article may give you the creepy crawlies. My husband and I have been living with bark scorpions since about a year after we moved into our beautiful Surprise, AZ home. Mind you, coming from Seattle, Washington I never thought those words would pass my lips. Since the first time I almost stepped on one in my bathroom I have been ever vigilant in my watch for the next uninvited guest. My initial reaction was, "This is not acceptable!", "I can't live here", and... "We spray for pests every month. How the --- can this be?". In other words, near hysteria. Hmmm. Where did that shrub go? I just came across this article and found it interesting. I thought I would share it with those of you who may not have had the opportunity to see the original in the Daily News Sun. Apparently Sun City Grand has purchased a GPS system with the computer software needed to map out every little detail in the community. This will purportedly help them keep track of the community assets. Sun City Grand has always had a healthy budget/reserve account.
