Sun City Grand Market Statistics 2002-2009   I’ve really gotten into looking into market statistics. I feel that it is really a great way to educate myself while providing accurate information to my clients and potential clients. So, I thought I’d take a look at pricing from 2002 through 2008 and compare that to 2009. Interesting stuff. I’ve included my findings below. It was as if I had advertised all of our short sale listings in the special Thanksgiving edition of the Sunday paper. SHORT SALE SPECIAL! As I was sleeping off the excessive of turkey and my mother's famous oyster stuffing and 7-layer salad, agents were hustling and bustling about our West Valley short sale listings writing offers and working off their extra Turkey Day pounds. My phone didn't ring, as our MLS planos are all up-to-date and detailed, and when it did after noon, it was simply to inform us that "we are submitting an offer." We recently had family visit from Vermont.  Boy did we have fun and we even took a jaunt up to the Grand Canyon's South Rim. We had a blast so I thought I would make a Google Map of our route.  It was absolutely beautiful. I would say that this is one of my favorite routes to take visitors to really see the diversity of our fine state.    Amuse Bouche, Surprise, Arizona, is nothing less than an exquisite culinary delight.  This new French restaurant, located on the Northeast corner of Cotton Ln and Bell Rd in the up-and-coming community of Surprise is the highlight of the West Valley.  From what I understand, its two chefs learned all the ways of the kitchen in Paris, France, and cook everything in their kitchen from scratch.  This authenticity is noted in the tender beef tenderloin situated plumply on a delectable potato pureé, or in the simpler soup du jour - a delightful potato and leek combo on the day of my visit.   With a separate breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, I am sure more culinary adventures await my taste buds as well.   Amuse Bouche is one of the few West Valley restaurants that allows it's guests to b... 11/22/2009

Having a Ball at Sun City Grand My family just left after 10 days of playing in Sun City Grand. Having never been here, they really enjoyed our community. As a matter of fact they really weren’t ready to go. Eventually we must all get back to reality. Let me tell you, the reality here in Sun City Grand is pretty darn good. We golfed on all courses except Desert Springs, we spent a morning at the Cimarron Day Spa being pampered, we hung out at the Cimarron Center Pool & had lunch, we ate lunch at Dillon’s, we walked the trails, we worked out at the Cimarrron fitness area, we ate dinner at JB’s, we toured the Palm Center, we toured the Sonoran Plaza, we toured the Chaparral Center, we walked the grounds and took Oso to the Pet Park. What does Splinterheads and High Tech Hide and Go Seek Games in Surprise AZ have in common?  Sometimes you see people doing funny things that you have to stop and ask, whatcha doing?  That's exactly what I asked this afternoon when I saw four adults on their hands and knees, under shrubbery, shaking plants and looking up at Palo Verde trees in Sun City Grand.   They were playing Geocaching  (geo-cashing).  Geocaching is a high-tech, worldwide game of hiding and seeking a treasure.  A Geocacher can place a geocache anywhere in the world and it's location can be pin pointed using a GPS.  It's the type of sport that both young and old enjoy.  The youngsters look for the toys that are in the geocache.  It's the challenge of finding the geocache that adults like.
