I have just started a very interesting book: The Starfish and the Spider by Ori Brafman and Rod Beckstrom. In this book, the authors contrast organizations with the traditional "top down" heirarchy with the distributed form of organization(s). If one cuts off the head of a spider [head of the top down organization] it will die. If you cut off an arm of a starfish, it may grow a new arm. The piece of the starfish may become a new starfish. I have been ostracized by one of our local TEA Parties because I refused to "tow the line" and follow their leadership. I am in the process of spawning a new TEA Party to be known as the Prescott Valley TEA Party. The roots of the Prescott Valley TEA Party are We the Informed People which is really a TEA Party without the name. The Left has been unsucc...

Most homes were built after 2000 and new phases are under construction. Neighboring Unit 19 has no HOA dues, no planned community features and homes were built from 1985 to 2011. This is a photo of Mingus Mountain taken from Prescott Valley, Arizona, elevation 5,300 ft. Notice that there is snow on Mingus Mountain, all the way down to it's base. Notice that there is almost no snow in the foreground, even though the elevation change is quite small. The small hill in the distant foreground is in Prescott Ridge, a neighborhood of upscale homes on large lots. That hill, less than 200 feet tall above the valley floor has a snow cap. Here in the high desert, our snow predictions usually indicate elevation levels rather than indicating which town will get snow and which ones will not. Sometimes the prediction may say 5,600 feet, which is only 300 feet above th level of the town. The mountains may be only a few hundred feet above town level will have snow when we have n...

A few days ago, I took a walk at sunset in a fabulous park in Prescott Valley. I was not carrying a camera, but I had my new Droid X phone with me. I was impressed by what I saw and just had to take a picture of it. Here is the photo that I took.   This photo was taken at sunset looking eastwardly. There was a tiny hole in the clouds in the west that allowed a ray of yellow sunsine to strike the small cloud. It is monsoon season now, so there are lots of beautiful clouds every day.  I did not see this as a picture taking opportunity because I was waking in a public park, Mountain View Park on Lakeshore drive. This park serves a lot of people with varried interests. Here is an aerial view of the park.

I want you to meet my friend, Quang Nguyen on the power of the delete key. He was a speaker at our "Prescott Valley Freedom Rally." He has lived through more life-changing experiences than anyone I know. If you have any questions about Socialism and its impact, check out his video. Quang is a very talented graphic artist and branding expert. Check out his website at Caddis Advertising. Quang is the producer for The Patriot Network. He has over 70 videos on youtube. Quang is a perfect example of how even an immigrant can make a new life through the power of the free enterprise system. At this time there is a lot of talk about the rhetoric that some consider inflammatory. I believe that discussion is intended to suppress free speech and should be condemned. Quang is very much a part of ou...

Our Arizona Freedom Rally in Prescott Valley (AZ) held in Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley on October 16, 2010 was not the booming sucess we expected, but it was a success nonetheless. See what Stacy Stine had to say about it: I wanted to take a minute to thank you all for your work in putting on a great event. As I was loading out Saturday night I saw a some of you and other volunteers with glum looks. Some folks expressed disappointment that the event was not as successful or as large as we had hoped. I had to contrast those looks with the people I had seen a few minutes earlier streaming past our booth as they were leaving the event. They were enthused, pumped up and excited to go and vote. They were excited about getting their friends, family and neighbors to the polls. We oft...

This week at Yavapai Foodies Reviews we are exploring Thai Food:) To that end we visited Tara Thai II in Prescott Valley Arizona. We had pad thai for the kids and the eggplant special with chicken and coconut princess. The eggplant was actually very rich with a great texture. Not watery and tasteless like I have had before elsewhere. Actually very intense flavor. The coconut princes was great as always. 4 Stars:) About $9 to $12 per plate. Service was fast and very friendly. Recommended to anybody.   Yavapai Foodies Reviews encourages interation between people who love food:)

My Group, We the INFORMED People has been active in working to get the corruption out of government. As we sought to raise funding for our Prescott Valley Freedom Rally, which we held on July 24, 2010, we got the check shown below. This check came in before the Freedom Rally and it meant a lot to us because of the message written on the check. Of course we appreciate all donations regardless of the amount. Our Freedom Rally was better than our wildest dreams. See the post that I made earlier.  Quang Nguyen, a legal immigrant and naturalized citizen "stole the show" with his short speech.

This is a re-blog of my own blog from 2010. Veterans Day is tomorrow. My Friend Quang's speech is good enough that we should all listen to it again. This video went viral, especially among the Vets. The video has been seen over 34,000 times. Be sure to tell your veteran friends about it. On Saturday, July 24, 2010, We the INFORMED People sponsored The Prescott Valley Freedom Rally. Quang Nguyen delivered this stunning message. Please tell your veteran friends about his message! One day I was at a gas station, I saw a veteran pumping gas on the other side of the island. I didn’t know what made me do it, but I walked over and asked if he had served in Vietnam. He smiled and said Yes. I shook and held his hand. His eyes started to well up. I walked away as fast as I could and at that very ...

The decision to place your home on the market can involve a number of issues.  Home sales can be motivated by circumstances you can't control - job relocation, family problems, financial issues, divorce or death.  Other motivations may be the need for a larger home or a better neighborhood or schools.  A home can be many things but there always comes a day when it's time to move on.  The following are two of the most important things to consider once you decide to place your home on the market. Dress Your Property for Sale:  Buyers are not looking for a house, they are looking for a home.  They buy homes in which they feel they would like to live and they select that home based on emotions.  To sell your home quickly MAKE IT FEEL LIKE HOME.  First impressions are important and they're l...

As most of you are aware, Arizona has enacted SB 1070 which says basically that the State of Arizona, led by our governor, Jan Brewer,  will enforce the Federal Law against Illegals when the Federal Government refuses to do so. Now the Feds are challenging our new law in court.  Other states are standing with Arizona.  Individuals are standing with Arizona.  That is great!  Glad to have you on board. My point is that Arizona is taking the lead in challenging the Feds to live up to their oaths of office and enforce the laws.  Other states are standing up against the Health Care Act and against the unfunded mandates and other outright abuses of power. The Feds can probably CRUSH Arizona, but they can't crush all of us if we dig in and stand as a group against the tyranny. My group, We the...

A few weeks ago I wrote a blog post about a little old lady who I have been helping. Here is a link to that post. After nearly 6 months and offers on 6 different properties with 3 offers going into escrow we finally closed one:)  The hoops we had to jump through to get a home to qualify for the USDA low income loan were difficult and many. However in the end it was well and truely worth it. I may have earned $1.49 per hour for this transaction, but I helped this lady reach a goal which did more than just make her happy. I showed myself that I can accomplish the near impossible with the right attitude. For my next feat I hope to work with a cash buyer who isn't picky and needs to close in less than 30 days. But having stated publicly a goal and reached it I have increased my self confide...

On March 14, 2010 I made a study of the Real Estate residential market in Pronghorn Ranch. Here is a summary of the results of that study. I found that there are 14 homes that are ACTIVE as of March 14, 2010. Of these there are three listed as short sales and one is a REO (lender-owned or foreclosure). That leaves 10 homes that are regular sales. The REOs are selling through fast and the regular sales are languishing somewhat. This fact underscores the need to price listings right if they are to sell reasonably quickly. Like it or not, the competition is still the REOs. At the time of my study, there were eight homes that are in escrow or PENDING. Of these, six are REOs, one is a short sale and the other is neither a REO nor short. In the past year in Pronghorn Ranch, there were 29 sale...

See the video on my main website. I have a new webpage that features a great video describing the new town of Prescott Valley, Arizona. As mentioned in the Video by one of our Founding Fathers, Bill Fain, Prescott Valley had its first election in 1979. The Town of Prescott Valley began to develop in the late 1970's after real estate developers bought the land from the early settlers to the area: the Fain Family. Lured by plentiful sunshine and mountain scenery, people quickly came to the area and put Prescott Valley on the map. Although the community is young compared to other cities in North Central Arizona, residents are proud of its heritage and continue to contribute to its vision, with a lifestyle to match. Prescott Valley, which is composed of more than 30,000 people, rests betwe...
