Have you received an inherited home in the Auburn - Opelika area?  Receiving an inheritance is often an emotional experience. Inheriting property, such as the family home or a vacation home can be especially trying, as you weigh decisions that have both emotional and practical considerations. It is also common for the remaining parent to leave a house to all of their children. Depending on the family dynamic and the varying wishes for the property, it may be more difficult to reach a consensus. What to Do After Inheriting a HomeFor all of your real estate needs in the Auburn-Opelika area please contact me at  (334) 332-7263 or email me at LauraSellers01@Gmail.com or visit my website. I look forward to helping you find the home of your dreams or sell your existing home.

You are buying a home in the Auburn - Opelika area?  You are under contract, have gone through inspection, objection, and resolution. Your loan is this close to being funded, all that’s left is the appraisal. Just as every other inspection has a price, the appraisal doesn’t come for free, either. So how much does a home appraisal cost, and can you shop around? The appraisal tells your lender how much the home is worth. The appraiser uses recently sold homes in the immediate area and compares them to the home you are buying in order to come up with a value. If there aren’t any recently sold homes like yours, any recently sold in your area, or both, their job is infinitely more difficult. Some areas of difficulty that are more time consuming for your appraiser may affect the home appraisal...

The perfect blend of community, university and traditionFor many retirees, especially those searching for a retirement location that offers the opportunity to combine life in a small university town with a passion for golf, the Auburn / Opelika region on the eastern edge of Alabama, may be a great choice.  Although Oliver Goldsmith penned the phrase "Sweet Auburn! Loveliest village on the Plain" years before the founding of this small town, it has been said to be an appropriate description of this charming community, where each year  colorful azaleas and magnolias are welcome harbingers of spring. Here, one has ready access to the educational and cultural facilities afforded by being near Auburn University, while at the same time living near some of the best golfing facilities to be foun...
