If you are traveling on College Street today you may need to allow more time to get to your destination as there will be road work going on. College Street Lane Closure Auburn, Ala.- Motorists should expect lane closures in the right-most southbound lane on College Street from Shug Jordan Parkway to Southparke Drive between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for the immediate future. Work crews will install sidewalk and curb and gutter for the Intersection Improvements Project at South College Street and Longleaf Drive. A tax day treat will be available this afternoon for area residents.Kona Ice will offer free shaved ice this afternoon at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, located at 1810 E. Glenn Ave. in Auburn. An event spokesperson said the shaved ice will be offered from 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. "to ease the pain of tax filing." The deadline to file taxes is Wednesday.
