Talkeetna Alaska by Robert Swetz 3-23-2016  Just Chilling in Talkeetna Alaska Alaska Bob and the boys took a drive up to Talkeetna Alaska which is approximately 2+ hours north of Anchorage.The last time I was in Talkeetna it was July of 2014 and there were way to many tourists in town, we couldn't even park. Talkeentna was founded in 1916 and this year will mark 100 years.We are up here hoping to capture the northern lights, but at this moment it is cloudy.We are hoping and praying that the clouds will break up and open up the sky so we can view, photograph and take videos. Talkeenta in the Native American language means 3 rivers and there are 3 rivers coming into the town of Talkeetna with an over abundance of FISH ;o) Has anyone in the Lower 48 been to Talkeetna?  Welcome | Talkeetna ... 03/24/2016

Who wants to view the Northern Lights with Alaska Bob? Alaska Bob will be searching the Northern Lights this coming Friday March 18th on Flat Top State Park in Anchorage Alaska.
