Lucile Lake Wasilla Alaska by Robert Swetz 2015 Will Vegas Bob be a snowbird from Alaska? All the horror stories of people telling me how cold Alaska is and how much they would never live there puzzles me.For 5 months starting in November to the end of May Vegas Bob stayed in Alaska and it wasn't all that bad. But living in the heat of Las Vegas for over 15 years it was kind of nice to mix up the weather. In fact I found the crisp cold quite refreshing ... ;o)  My wife and I have thought about the winters in Alaska and and if we are retired then we may just stay in Alaska in the winters in Homer Alaska which is much more mild than other areas.And if the winters are to cold and or we don't like them than we will spend winters in the Philippines and Myanmar where my wife has properties.... 06/11/2016
