Woo Hoo! PBJ Art is at Expressionz Cafe!I had an art installation today (my first, if you don't count the one in a recent Stage) 5 Canvi all displayed for sale (original) or on order as a print!The universe works in odd ways. Last week I brought home my canvi from the printers and one was a little big for L'il Miss to carry... Then Saturday came. (Someone backed into me at a rail road crossing, of all places!) Now, I am driving my winter car and everything, even the 66.5 inch canvas, fits! hunh! Loads of local artists have their art on display year round! The Good, the Bad AND the Ugly... I've had an interesting day today... I had a Balloon gig out in New Sarepta, a little town outside of Edmonton. It was a lovely day and everything went well! Minutes out of town however, while stopped at a RR crossing waiting for a fairly long train, the woman in front of me, decided the train was taking too long and proceeded to back up over L'il Miss. It's pretty bad... I am devastated. L'il Miss is a 1994 and I doubt the insurance company is going to take what a great l'il car she is when deciding her fate. She still runs, so I drove her to my parent's home and picked up my winter car the Red Rocker. So I still have my own wheels. Who Needs a Truck? II I posted a photo of L'il Miss last year hauling 3 trees I was planting in one corner of our lot, with a 'Trucks are overrated' caption. I have an art installation at Expressionz cafe starting next week and had to pick up my canvi from the printers because I will be offering limited edition prints of all my work. Unfortunately, I forgot how big this one really was... Phillip, the printer, wasn't happy I would attempt to take it this way, but I drove slowly and got a lot of exposure to this piece! LOL! Looking For an Addition to the Family? Puppy 4 Sale in Edmonton Area.My sister has been a dog breeder for many years. Her current batch of Cockapoo's are small dogs and she has 1 11 week old male puppy Yorkie/Cockapoo that is so sweet I couldn't put him down when were were there last night. Holy-Opportunity-is-Knocking-Batman! I started painting acrylic on canvas to supplement my Fluff My House! Home Staging in Edmonton with art in colours I like. Little did I know this was going to take my life in a brand new direction! I'm being mentored by two wonderful artists; Jack Ellis and Kathie Henderson, and they are giving me new opportunities every time I see them. I'm meeting Jack's publisher Thursday to get my canvi (that's a technical term, lol) scanned so they can be made into prints. They can be sold at a fraction of the cost of an original canvas... iPad Doesn't Like My Font! I have used 14 pt Comic Sans MS for my font for as long as I started changing the font on my posts. I use the Online Editor and cut and paste it back into my blog once it has been written. (ctrl+A & ctrl+C -to copy - then ctrl+V to paste) Recently I have had people commenting in public and private that they can't read my posts. Today I discovered why! iPad browsers render the fonts, and even the structure, of a post differently than the way it was originally posted! What to do about it? I dunno, but I like Comic Sans MS and will continue to use it, because I write my Fluff My House! Home Staging in Edmonton, AB, posts on my pc... So far I have connected with 244 Real Estate and related professionals in Edmonton and area, so my contact and referral network is growing by leaps and bounds! First I sent out an invitation to join my network and when they accept; I email them a little thank you and another invitation send clients to check out my gallery page! What's the Deal With Linked in? I'm on Linked in and for those of you I haven't connected with; come on down! I love the fact Active Rain let's us 'Like' , 'G+' and 'Tweet' and 'share' on Linked in, (great for SEO) and I try to do that with every post I comment on that is 'public' (fyi - if you try to 'like' a 'members only' post it won't show up). But why do I get an 'error' every now and then from Linked in when I try to share a post? (Especially Mine!)  Is it because the person I'm trying to share doesn't have a Linked in profile? (But then why does it do it for my posts? Are we not allowed to share our own stuff?) Is it just a glitch and if I took the time to try again it would work? What's the scoop? Thinking outside the Box in Edmonton! If You Can't Find What You Want, Make It Yourself: Session 4! I've been trying to find some abstract art that I like and that I can afford. Not so easy, most of it is very expensive, not the right size and the colours aren't what I want. So I decided to try and paint some myself.The second one I'm working on is still unfinished, but I did this one yesterday.  I had to take the photo with my phone and it wouldn't all fit, so here it is pieced together...
