Often when one plants a zucchini plant one hopes they'll get a good crop but when reality sets in and one is inundated with the fruits of one's labours there can be thoughts of midnight deliveries to the neighbours doorsteps... What's For Dinner? Yummy Frozen Fruit Pops! If you've been following my Saturday evening dinner, we've had Hummus, Festival City Greek Salad, Halibut from the West Coast of Canada and now for dessert! Yum! I made Frozen fruit pops; two different kinds, one with fruit and juice and the other with fruit and yoghurt! MmmMmmm! I started with plain old plastic drink cups and popsicle stix! I took  a fresh pitted cherry and stuck the stick into it.                     Cut a square of watermelon and put it in the bottom of the cup.     Stick the cherry pierced popsicle stick into the watermelon so it stands upright in the middle of the cup.         Add assorted fresh fruit. (I used blackberries, blueberries, watermelon and grapes.) If you want to make plain fruit pops now is the time to add fr...

What's for Dinner? Yummy Hummus Appetizer! When we were in Seattle at Rain Camp Seaside Sally and I got together with Tom Ikonomou and Doug Converse for an authentic Greek meal at Athina Grill in Seattle.   We ordered a appetizer tray of 3 different fantastic hummus' (Hummi?). Did I say it was fantastic? MMMMmmmm!!     Anyway, friends are here from Kitkatla Island in BC and are coming over for dinner, so I'm making hummus as an appetizer to be served with pita bread. It's really easy to make! I start with chick peas and garlic (lots of garlic, because; and say it with me, "you can never have too much garlic!") Add lemon juice and pulverize!       I use the hand blender and get it to the consistency of peanut butter.       Then I drizzle with sesame oil, cover and let stand for a few hour...

What's For Dinner? Festival City Greek Salad! Friends of ours showed up, in our Festival City of Edmonton, from BC yesterday and are coming over for dinner tonight, bringing some Halibut they caught  there on the coast! Yum!     So I'm going to supply everything else!   After Susan Emo had asked: name 6 items in your fridge, I realized I had all the fixin's for my (much sought after) Greek salad, so I thought I'd share my recipe with you since I'm making it anyway! Double Yum! :D Simple Greek salad, great taste! Start with 1 English cucumber (I hate regular cucumber seeds, but if you don't mind them; have at 'er ) 4 ripe tomatoes Bell peppers (I use the tri-colour pkg) Low fat Feta Cheese (but you can use the regular kind) Olives (I found a can that read: 'Super Colossal' had to try the...

Groat Plaza Dentistry, Edmonton; Professional, Thorough, Friendly and Caring...                                           I had to go to the dentist recently. Dentist offices are not my favourite places, they ususally never have good news for me. I clench my jaw and have cracked teeth on many occasions. So once again I needed to see if that's what I'd done so I made an appointment. Cindy is the Admin Assistant and the first person you talk to when you come in the door! She's very friendly and has a lovely smile! (She works in a dental office after all!)                             I love the sign they have posted, priceless! Maybe that can be used at open houses!                                       I saw Dr Levin, she made sure what I was feeling wasn't a cracked tooth and then schedu...

Ads in Community Newsletters Can Do the Job Too! This is the ad I placed in our local community News Letter. I figured I would see if it would work, because there is an agent with an ad in there too. I should call her and see what success she's experienced. The ad is B/W in the NL.                                                       I have to say I've already paid for my ad via a gig, and it wasn't really even staging! I received a phone call from a lovely lady and said, "I want you to come and ‘Fluff' my house, but I'm not moving. Do you do that?" Sure! Although, as it has been pointed out by many of the stagers here in the Rain, staging is not decorating, but there is still a lot of correlation. This lovely lady wanted to turn one of her spare rooms into a dressing room, since it wa...
