Today I was listening to one of the March Madness coaches interviews from Furman University. This team did the unimaginable and upset a top seed in the NCAA tournament. The young man who hit the buzzer 3-point basket came out as a hero of the game.                    The coach said in the interview that his player, JP Pegues who hit the incredibly deep, 3-point buzzer shot had not performed that well throughout the game. However, he told said of the player, "This young man was prepared for THAT shot! He comes to practice early and he stays late." He continued saying, "The hard work this young man put in paid off when it was needed."Isn't this true of most things in life? The more prepared we are, the better chance we have to find success. During a clutch real estate transaction, the age...

No matter what it is, no matter how long you have been looking for it and have not found it.  This is one of the most important keys in life. There is a good chance you have already experienced this event, and if so you will have a more comfortable understanding of what I am saying here, and KNOW that it is important to keep looking for whatever it is that you have not found. Believe me, I know how astounding this can be. This can happen with finding a human being, real estate, a particular automobile, or anything you have an extreme desire to have. I hope your day is as great as mine.Dan Dee McGinnisThe Pumpkin Man

Earning your real estate license is a cinch, but earning a living is where the smart work and efforts begin.I have been in the industry for over 42 years and have seen tremendous changes occur over that time. When I began, you only needed 45 hours of classroom instruction, pass the New York State exam and be 18 years of age to earn your real estate license.Fast forward to today. As of Dec. 21, 2022, you now need an approved qualified and certified classroom or online education of 77 hours (previously 75 hours) of instruction to earn your real estate salesperson license.  The cost of the course can range from $99 (I have seen this price online during off-season winter months) to $700 as a college course.  Obviously, it would be prudent to find the most economical class to consider. We hav...

Salt Lake City, Utah - Payroll taxes are the number one reason why businesses and their owners end up in our office.  Here is why, in my experience most companies and individuals with payroll tax issues are good people or a good company that has faced a difficult challenge like COVID (in all my years of practice if you had told me something like COVID would shut down the world, I never would have believed you), supply chain issues that have affected payments from customers or clients, the bankruptcy of a customer or client, personal bankruptcy of a business owner due to crushing medical debt, divorce, changes in the economy, etc. life does not always work out how these companies and/or individuals wanted. Think about right now, interest rates are up and construction is slowing down.  Th...

Though the housing market is no longer experiencing the frenzy we are experienced a year ago, buyers are showing their interest in purchasing a home. According to U.S. News:Housing markets have cooled slightly, but demand hasn’t disappeared, and in many places remains strong largely due to the shortage of homes on the market. That activity can be seen in the latest Showing Time Showing Index, which is a measure of buyers actively touring available homes. There was a  62% jump in showings from December to January is one of the largest on record. There were also more showings in January than in any other month since last May. As you can tell, it’s normal for showings to increase early in the year, but the jump this January was larger than usual, and a lot of that has to do with mortgage ra...
