My mom loves Wheel of Fortune. One of the things you can do is “Buy a vowel”. By buying a vowel, the person playing the game gets a clue about what the answer may be. Often think of that what I run across a clueless person.  In my mind, I think “Get a clue – buy a vowel”. I see a person time and time again. Someone who talks about their intelligence. They talk about their wisdom. And yet somehow, this person doesn’t understand how people view them as negative. They actually have no clue how people avoid them. And yet when they interact on social media, it is amazing how often they leave comments on a post to say how they don’t like that or how they disagree or how they have an opposing point of view. Someone could say that they met Brad Pitt yesterday and had a wonderful conversation fo...

Those who are in the process of buying a new home need to be aware of some of the factors that might influence their ability to do so. Even though credit score, income, and assets will play major roles in whether or not someone might be approved for a loan, there are other factors that will play a role as well.Buying a new car might even have an impact on the homebuying process. Why is this the case? The Debt Payments On The Car Will Play A RoleThere are multiple ways to buy a car. Some people elect to pay cash for the entire vehicle. While this is a challenge for most families, this will prevent any new debt from being added to the family’s finances. At the same time, this could also reduce the amount of cash the family has on hand to put toward the new home. Most families end up putting ...

Being pre-approved for a mortgage isn’t just a way to get a step ahead, in many cases it’s a necessity to buying a home. Many sellers don’t want to go through the negotiation process of selling their home only to have the buyer drop out when they can’t get approval for the mortgage they were relying on.The Difference Between Pre-Qualification And Pre-ApprovalPre-qualification is a faster process than pre-approval and is usually a best estimate based on how the borrower answers certain questions about their financial history and status.Pre-approval is way more valuable to a borrower than pre-qualification because it is a commitment from a lender for a decided amount after they have completed an in-depth verification process based on the submitted documentation.Preparing For The Pre-Appro...

Some Highlights The language of buying and selling a home may sound scary at first, but knowing how key terms relate to today’s market can help you. For example, current low mortgage rates and higher wages positively impact affordability for buyers, while home price appreciation continues to grow home equity, which sellers can use to fuel a move up. Terms like appraisal (what lenders rely on to validate a home’s value) and contingencies (which buyers can minimize to make their offer stand out) directly impact the transaction. You don’t need to be fluent in the language of the market to buy or sell. Instead, let’s connect today so that we can translate the process together. What best fits your real estate goals right now - buy, sell, perhaps both? With years of area knowledge, repeat c...

"Cousins are Family You Never Outgrow." Cousins Day on July 24 is a great excuse to connect or re-connect with cousins. Like siblings, cousins often share family memories, which is especially important as people mature.   Send a a text message, post a special photo on Facebook, or even better, call a cousins up on the phone or Zoom for an old-fashioned visit.   July 24 is also "Tell an Old Joke Day". Why not dust off and share some childhood jokes with the cousins?   Here's one of my brother's favorite jokes as a child.   "Is your refrigerator running?"   Yes.   "You'd better go catch it!"   Images part of author's collection and may not be used without express permission.   Thanks for reading "Love on the Cousins July 24 Cousins Day".
