Your home is one of the biggest investments you'll make in your lifetime, so you want to ensure you make smart improvements over time.  Improvements or renovations are different than regular maintenance.  There is a fine line between the two.  Refinishing a hardwood floor is right on that line.  Most modern hardwood floors have a limited capability for refinishing.  I am not sure when the optimal time to refinish is.  When it really needs it is the answer. People are kinda strange when it comes to flooring.  Honestly, carpet is out but that does not mean that it is still not a viable flooring option especially is certain rooms of the house. Insulation is also an interesting choice is that an upgrade or is that maintenance.  I really don't have an opinion on this one.  Older home or new ... 06/05/2023
