Legally or illegally moving to the US is the first observation. Probably both, but using different modes of travel and processes during their "moves". The World Cup shows the world how GREAT America is with their own eyes. They forget they can make their own countries free and prosperous also, but they have to work at it.

No, we have a limited number of both visas and people who can come to the USA.  They should vote and work towards freedom in their own countries.

While the vast majority of soccer fans who are visiting the U.S. are tourists/visitors, there may be a few who will considering moving to the U.S. It will be complicated for them.

Well we have seen a lot less foreign buyers in NYC in the last 6 years. We could see a small number of new foreign buyers as a result of the World Cup- but it's not likely to change the conversation at all. 

Yes as seen in the pre-construction development here in Miami. Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beaches.  Many will be ready 3 to 4 years out.  The skyline is changing along coastal Florida.  Douglas Elliman is marketing more than 30 projects and my main focus is to the match with the development that suites your lifestyle.

Additionally the EB-5 visa programs we are seeing international buyers who wish to educate their children here in the USA.  One can bring eligible for as much as $1,050,000.  There is quite a bit of wealth in our nation.

We have already experienced Brzil's legend Renaldo Carlos purchase two units here in downtown Fort Lauderdale among other athletes in other sporting segments.

Not if we develop a program for those who don't like it here to trade places. We get rid of those who don't like it here and gain people who do. I would be all for it.

No. Moving to the USA legally is not an easy process and can require considerable resources. However, there might be a temporary increase in people considering buying vacation homes in the US. 

I doubt it.  It's a big process to get US citizenship and to move here LEGALLY.  Many of the people who have been in the news for visiting have saved up to make that happen.  They won't have the funds to do a cross ocean move.

Freedom does sell.  If they don't move they have already sampled the life style here in America.  

I do but, probably only vacation/second homes--at least until the dust settles in the US.

On the list of reasons why people choose to leave their home country and seek a better life in the USA for their family, I would put the fact that the US hosted the World Cup very low on the list and freedom and opportunity at the top.

No, I think the world has received the message that we are no longer a welcoming people.  Look at the tourism stats from the past year.  The northern states have lost millions of Canadian tourism dollars.

No. In 2025, more people moved out of the U.S. than to this country. This is a first since the Great Depression. As a CIPS and a member of a Global Business Alliance Committee, I can confirm that we get a lot more inquiries from U.S. Americans wanting to move abroad than "aliens" wanting to move and purchase here. The World Cup is a temporary boost for the tourism industry (although it's not coming close to expectations in some areas) that have otherwise been feeling the drop in visitors over the last year+.

I think it has already started. We are seeing an influx especially from Europe. I think States that push freedom over government oppression will see a much bigger influx. 

No, not at all!  In fact, I think it will be the opposite. These types of events can highlight the issues/ problems people have with living in the host country.  In particular, I live in the NYC area, where all the prices for parking have gone through the roof, travel has been completely disrupted, and prices/ demands on the economy have been deregulated.  The people who live in the area have regularly had issues with these things, and are now having to circumvent all the commotion. Tourism has been up due to the games, which is great for bringing in foreign money,  but the actual tension of the system before the surge of tourism is strained. 

People from other countries are fabulous, and I welcome them with open arms, but FIFA has been an interesting experience to witness. 

Hi Tony, I think the World Cup will bring a major short-term increase in tourism, international business activity, and global attention to the United States. However, it probably will not cause a large number of people to move permanently on its own, since relocation usually depends more on employment opportunities, immigration policies, education, and quality of life.

That said, some visitors may discover new professional or business opportunities during the tournament and later consider relocating. Major international events also create valuable exposure for local companies, especially those with a strong online presence and an effective digital strategy, something agencies such as Roiting help businesses develop.

Major sporting events like the FIFA World Cup tend to influence tourism, business investment, and international perception much more than permanent immigration.  I think those traveling for the event, will be exposed to the United States, and some may decide to relocate, but it will not be in significant numbers.
