Oh, the secret sauce.
I sense that what works in one area may not work in another. But it is always great to test and keep testing until the desired results are achieved.

It's been a while since I've had a need to look at these metrics for my sites, so I don't know. I have a few "evergreen" articles about tax rates and STR laws, which get a good amount of traffic, despite being several years old. At one point, I had a tax article that out ranked the county assessor's site and mine was a copy & paste of their press release with a sentence or two of some marketing about my investor services thrown in. I out ranked them for several years, which was fun.
I had something about how commissions worked and that was a huge draw for me. Wrote it the right way, looked at what the top 3 had on the topic and wrote something better, longer, and more in depth. I out ranked them within a week and held the #1 spot until I took the article down. It got me a few hundred views a week, but didn't translate into anything... which so I removed it after several months.
Beyond that, I don't really publish much any more. The only things I have to say these days are all about how NAR has screwed us, how the settlement is bad for business and how to get around it. None of which I want to write about and get attention from the DOJ. I'll let the commission sharing websites and the youtubers have their fun and get the call/letter from the DOJ.
The purpose of my site is to display my listings. I might make some tweaks once the settlement changes happen. For now, we're still status quo.

You should write a series of blog posts on this topic. Many of your prospects also have web sites.

That's why it's recommended to develop a niche market, then you can target your audience with more specifics that interest that particular sector rather than trying to grab everyone's attention.

I don't get too excited about the mechanics of my website, most of the results are beyond my control and not worth my time to worry about.
If I were to rely on my website for survival I would certainly starve, however I also realize that I need to get out there and promote myself everywhere and constantly be networking.

I believe an easy 'search' on a buyer site for your area, a very visible 'neighborhood' tab, lots of great photos & videos and a front-and-center CONTACT call-to-action.
