Ed, Depending on what you're looking to do, Wordpress is the go to for a fair number of Rainers.  Between hosting, support and IDX feed our out of pocket is about $150/month and the time it took to create the IDX search pages and other content.

I have two sites, one is wordpress and other is my first (self done) website from point2agent   it's a template,  it picks up my listings from the MLS, it includes a wordpress blog section, and allows rss feeds which gives me a $100/year search of my MLS with no registration.  My wordpress site has forced registration after the 3rd photo.   But the point2agent site worked really well for me over the years, was simple to learn and navigate and had me "ready" for a wordpress site when I took that step.  And instead of replacing that site, I just added the second.  my total cost is $600 or so a month, but that includes both sites, IDX for both sites and some backend CRM fees I pay as well.  

Maybe check into y'all MLS service. The MLS service here in Houston Texas provides us one and also offers a premium one for little additional charge!

220 marketing provides decent site templates that are wordpress and customizable so you can quickly & easily make edits or changes.  They're the most affordable I've found for a decent platform outside of building something yourself.

If you are going to search for a website, get one that will work for you properly.   Wordpress you can tweak to your desire, and template sites may not have as much flexibility.

suprisingly.. "google sites".. is free and very easy to use.. and very fast... nothing loads quicker in my opinion... and google seems to like it. 

I find the site that KW provides does the job well.

You can lots of cheap/reasonable sites only to have problems getting the IDX to keep working. I've had a few box sites & they are not worth it. Best to setup a WP site & that's that.

The RE/MAX website they give every agent is just laughable. It's bad SEO for you. Make sure everything is about YOU.
