Sometimes, but I never go. i always wonder why our office would ask agents to drive for 1 hour to the office, listen to some pitch from a lender, title company, or home warranty company for 1-2 hours, then drive another hour home. it makes no sense to me to waste a half day on something that could have been accomplished with an email teling agents why we should consider company x or y.....

I get overwhelmed with emails that invite me to events of all kinds from professional to social, usually fundraisers (which always costs me money). Although all of them have value if for nothing else than networking, I have to choose wisely.  A free lunch, for example, isn't enough for me to go.
