"I can't" is lodged in a mindset I do not relate to.

"I won't" for various reasons or I simply choose otherwise. 

Then, there is always the hard NO! 

Or the softer version, no thank you. 

What is it that I can or cannot do?   

     Someone already mentioned morality and ethics, which are personal choices you make or do not make. 

     Beyond that, you are only limited by the laws of physics and gravity.

Self motivation and tenacity play huge roles in the I Can part. People are on a singular journey and must come to their own conclusions. 

Simple! Can't Means won't!

If it's not lawful or ethical, then I won't. 

Otherwise, except for perhaps becoming an Olympic gymnast, if I want it, I claim it, own it, earned it.

If someone is hesitant to pull the trigger on something, I'm not going to press them to do so. Simply follow your own inner GPS and let me know what you decide.

Attitude is half the battle.  If you go in thinking you can't, then you'll find a way to prove yourself right.

This is what the parable of Jesus in Matthew 21v28 of the two sons addresses:

“What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work today in the vineyard.’

“ ‘I will not’, he answered, but later he changed his mind and went. “Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I will, sir’, but he did not go. “Which of the two did what his father wanted?” “The first”, they answered........

My children learned from a young age that "can't" was a work not allowed in the Crane family.

We can generally accomplish anything we put our mind to.

As a broker, this is a phrase "we can't" use in the office, because saying you can't do something is part of a self-fulfilling prophesy and throws negative energy on a future event that hasn't even been attempted. I believe in the power of positivity and law of attraction. Speak what you want to have happen. Use "I can't" moments as challenges instead. The moment someone tells me I can't do something I do it on steroids :)

If you think you can - you can.  If you think you can't - you can't.  Chose and move - your choice!

my 4 year old grandson sometimes has the "I can'ts", but beyond that I don't have any people like that in my life and with my grandson, I explain it's a time to ask for help and that sometimes even grownups have to ask for help.

If it's breaking the law, I not only can't but, I WON'T do it! 

If it's a scenario that is legal, I will always be The Little Engine that Could, always believing that I think I CAN!

Realistically

I believe there is always a way, like they say  "go over the mountain, around it or thru it"

I know this Henry Ford Quote well and yes I believe it. I only "handle" it in me though. I can't convince anyone else that is fighting for their limitations not to.

It is true the adage 'if you say you can't - your right'. Many people  mistake my 'cant' because I really mean NO.

I've encountered several people who have fallen into the habit of saying "I can't" when what they really mean is "I don't want to ". It's frustrating to hear and I deal with it on a case by case basis since each individual personality is different. 

If someone has the audacity to say to me "You can't", I take it as a dare and go on to prove them wrong unless it's illegal, immoral or unethical.
