Not for me, I still pay with cash & credit cards; never my phone to pay and wouldn't know how. I have keys not Apps. I remain as analogue as possible to get through my day.

One phone, one phone number and that's it for me. Also, just one email. I do no banking or other financial transactions on my phone. Personal data on my phone is limited. My phone does not replace my wallet.

Hi, Richie
"Your" smartphone is a databank for marketers, Government agencies, and others. Everything you store in there is wide open to Google, NSA, and countless others.
No thank you, I will not use it to pay bills. I will not load it full of software ("apps", doesn't that sound hip?) that will relay everything I see, say, hear, and do to nefarious groups who are building a dossier on me.
A second phone? I already have that, it's called "my wife's cell phone".

My cell phone is used for personal and business needs. Hackers are out there everywhere...calls, texts, emails. It is just part of how we roll these days. Need to use our heads as with any tool.

NOT MY CELL PHONE
My wallet is not replaced by my cell phone ... no way!
My cell phone does not turn on gadgets. I do.
If people would only wake the Hell-0 up and realize what is being done with technology. I will leave it at that.

I am not ready for it, haha. I have never really even trusted the cloud for the storage of sensitive documents either, but I guess it is happening. I don't want two phones.

I follow a Written Information Security Policy (WISP) for strong security and data privacy.
I use my cell phone for phone calls and very few selected apps. I do not use any snoopware apps from big tech.
I moved my email to ProtonMail based in Switzerland. I use multiple email aliases using SimpleLogin email forwarding to my real email addresses.
I do not use any internet connected gadgets except my smart TV.
I use Brave or Firefox browser. I use Presearch for my search engine.
I use a virtual credit card number that is an alias for my real credit card number.
Any files stored in cloud storage are encrypted by me and the storage provider does not have the decryption keys.
As your own Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you can choose to educate yourself on cybersecurity and data privacy or not. There are useful videos on YouTube and groups on Reddit providing strategies and tips. The security and privacy information and most solutions are free or low cost.
There is a growing user migration away from big tech toward smaller, privacy and security oriented smaller companies using Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) that does not collect or sell user data.

NOT me, I'm in agreement with most here!
I still don't rely on technology, too many opportunities for issues like hackers. Besides if the batteries fell or no connection is established, I'm the one that can keep moving forward.
Keep in mind, that whatever man/women invent - they can figure out a way to access...
The only thing man/women can't figure out is how to un-scramble an egg. Reason is: "Man didn't invent the Egg!" LOL

We already see this in China. With their health passport system they've been marking people at anti-lockdown and anti-Xi protests as having been infected. All of a sudden they're no longer allowed in their homes. People were setting up tent cities prior to protests expecting to be locked out.
With money, they can lock you out of your account and they now have a 3 year expiration on their digital currency to encourage spending (and thus perpetual poverty).
No, I'm not a fan of the phone controlling everything... especially when companies like Google and Apple make the CCP look benign.
I pay with cash as much as possible to keep that circulating and to do my part to prevent the digital dollar. Once that goes digital, all privacy and financial security goes out the window.

I have considered a second phone, but as I'm approaching a retirement age I opted to just deal with the one. From time to time I give people my husband's number instead of mine to schedule deliveries and service calls because I might not pick up that call.

Don't have apps on my phone. Super careful not to mix credit with phone or any thing that recalls my password. Everything can be hacked.
The phone can listen even when turned off.
