I cannot say I have ever been "uncomfortable" with my progress.  My motto is slow and steady as she goes. Adjustments are made, if/when/where necessary. Celebrations occur along the way.  

Start planning a vacation.  That always seems to magically get the phone ringing.

Sea Captains who pilot sailing vessels (with sails) constantly lower & raise them to optimize wind coverage & stability. So it is with anything we steward

Make adjustments and never quit!

I get excited!!! Life happens outside of your comfort zone!

Progress is born of discomfort...all my success comes from wanting to be better today than yesterday! 

William Piotrowski this is an easy one. Usually I'll downshift then when I redirect the power will be there to reach either the comfort zone or quickly get back on the track.

If I'm not making the progress I want, I try something different to improve it.  But not totally sure what you mean by "uncomfortable".  I suppose some people might get uncomfortable with making progress because it's change.

Like Kat Palmiotti asks. What do you do William Piotrowski ? The going gets tough, the tough get going. Make it better than it was doing the best you can. But contentment is harder to achieve if you are never happy and over the top critical instead of believing tomorrow is another day to begin again armed with what you learned yesterday.

Refocus, make a plan and get to work.

I find a way to get comfortable William. Right now I am on the back side trying to figure out how to work less.

I may change it around a bit.  Do you ever really want to be comfortable with your progress?  If you are, will you work as hard to progress to the next level as you would if you were uncomfortable with your progress?

Alternate answer: Tequila.

Tweak, tweak and tweak some more...until it's headed in the right direction, at the right pace!

Hate to say it but take a break and eat something and then get back at it.

Reassess, retool, and move on! Detours are part of the learning process. Rome was not built in a day!

William Piotrowski - Do you read the answers to the questions you ask? I just  noticed you ask a lot of questions but you don't respond to the answers, nor do you like the answers, nor do you respond in any other way. Curious as to what's the point of the questions?

Step back, assess, step away for a bit, re-engage and forge ahead.  

Go to sleep and wake up with a new attitude.

Remember that 'directions are relative' and the degree to which things can go one way, they can go the other in equal measure. 

I have more than one thing going on at all times, always have. So when there's a lull here, I double down there and v/v.
