My mother is 96 years old. She worked as a fashion designer her entire life. She does incredible line art drawings.
I believe it is crucial to keep my mother engaged in relevant activity.
So, I started an Etsy shop where my mother's art is displayed and marketed.
Her days are filled with time at the easel immersed in creative activity.
Her mind is sharp as a tack.
It not so much a side hustle as an act of compassion from which so many benefit. Let me include an example of one of her drawings. After drawing she watercolors. Cats, dogs, birds, Reptiles.

I have considered printing on canvas but there is more involved than meets the eye. However, Printing on metal or glass can be done using my existing hardware.  That would put prices for 'artwork' well over $100 plus shipping. Maybe a little market testing is in order. I'm not sure dogs wearing hats can command that level of investment.

I'm not a craftsy kind of person but I do order from there. I just read about their cut recently & I thought it was high.

I have one sold downsize items and ball gowns I will never wear again. Not a side gig just a way to justify having paid for luxury

I don't, but a lady nearby has had an Etsy shop for over 10 years to sell her pottery, so obviously it's working well for her.

Look into Redbubble too.  It's a site similar to etsy, except they handle all the printing and shipping.  I have an account there, but haven't done anything with it.

My niece has an Etsy site where she makes quilts and such.  She finds it therapeutic, and a nice side-hustle.

Me?  I consider myself fortunate that I even know what Etsy is!

No, but we've bought some cool gifts and things for our house from Etsy, including some stained glass of bees and flowers from a lady in Ukraine.

I did for about a year.  Started it in early 2021, but then real estate exploded in my market and I just didn't have time to keep up with soap orders so I closed it.  While it's something I enjoy, it's not how I do or want to make my living, so I just pulled the switch.  Still make soap and even sell to friends and family who want it, but not the volume that had become a second job.

No. Real estate keeps me busy enough. Besides, giving a company that much of a cut would not be worth it to me. It takes me back to my first years of real estate when the brokerages took plenty, for my hard work!

my wife did, but frankly she was not able to keep up with orders, so she closed it.  She makes soap for family and friends, but she started it and then real estate kept her slammed.

Personally, not my thing.  I am sticking to my highly successful real estate career and enjoying being paid for providing exceptional service.  

I've recently been asked to work as a paralegal for an attorney. Another thing I am passionate about. Therefore I might consider that on a limited basis just to help him out.
