Not sure what shouting has to do with working from home.

I think that most of the world has learned to spend more time working at home over the years and it must have been a slow news day for them to bring it up as if it were a new trend.

All I know is more and more companies are requiring people to come back into the office full-time or face termination.

Working from home will definitely cause a collapse in the commercial real estate market.  The only way out is turning office space into residential housing.

I have not heard "working from home" on the news. Of course, I haven't even heard "news" on the news. And I don't remember any shouting.

Brick & mortar has been under scrutiny for decades & methinks it is in it's death throes. What counts more than ever is profit & loss. The judge? results

"New"? What news? I haven't heard any news coming out of the talking heads for a very long time. I do hear a lot of agenda-lined rhetoric being spewed on the major networks.

Real estate agents working from home has been a popular practice for years. As for others the CEO's have the right to choose as long as they sign the front of the check and the employees sign the back!

Remote work has been around for a long time. Home offices have been around for a long time. Some companies are trying to get those remote workers to come back into the office, sometimes in a different state because they've moved. The thing is these remote workers can work for a lot of different bosses. And often do. So if their feet are held to the fire they may just leave. And that's a problem for a lot of employers right now.

I turned the news of months ago & am happy I did.  Enough does trickle through the "cracks" though to remind me that the pot is always being stirred...!

Some people who work from home enjoy the separation, while many enjoy other people's company and working side by side. Employers need to get their money's worth out of employees more than ever.

America needs to bring back industrial and create other manufacturing facilities to avoid other countries from holding back much needed items, like baby formula, memory chips, fertilizer and oil to fit an agenda.

I've stopped watching the news (they have Fox and CNN on at my gym when I go there to run - baffles my mind that CNN is still doing nothing but talking about Trump, and Fox is still doing nothing but ragging on Biden - it's fascinating that people still tune in and consider them "news")

Re: WFH, it's not even close to over.  As usual, the unethical few ruin it for the many by working multiple jobs and lying to their employer about it, not truly working, etc.  If we start seeing companies returning to the office thriving, it'll put an end to WFH for many pretty quickly.  Of course, in our industry there's nary an impact, most people have been remote for years!
