I normally attend, this is the first time in 5 years Maryland is returning to Ocean City and they cut off registration due to not using the convention center. Maryland requires15 hours which includes 3.0 legislative, 3.0 Brokerage Relationships and Disclosure, 3.0 ethics, 3.0 supervision, 1.5 fair housing (required classes); the remaining 1.5 hours are electives

No more 14 hours in Florida or 18 hours in Illinois for this retired guy. Have only attended a few state conventions when active.

No. They're basically traveling vender bazars trying to sell me all the latest shiny objects and I get better training at Buffini & Company, Ninja Sella, CRS and Career Compass. I get all my (45 hours) license renewals for free in one fun weekend with Career Compass.

It's a great place to network, get killer marketing strategies and ...renew!

In 23 years in North Carolina I have never attended. Attended only one national convention and was not impressed. We need 8 hours of CE in North Carolina. 4 hours of a required update course and one elective.

Fourteen hours in Florida.  Of that, three must be ethics, three core law, and eight of anything else.

I have attended the Florida Realtors classes at the convention but did not find value in it.  Now, I only attend the trade show part, which is free.  That allows me to network.

I usually do not. I'm very selective about what I attend. We need 8 hours each year. Four is a mandatory training and 4 is an elective. We also have to do an ethics course every few years. Of course, I do more training that what is required by CE.

I used to be active as a member of our local association Board of Directors and member of California BOD. As such I attended state meetings and national meeting. I enjoyed doing so. When I termed out of my Board seat, I stopped attending.

45 hours every 4 years which training I do on-line.

No, even though they are "fairly" close by, I have never seen a point in attending them.

In California we have to test on 45 hours of material every 4 years (2 years for newly licensed agents).  I emphasis the test on material part as we are not actually required to sit in a class for that long.  That is  VERY common misconception.  The law only requires testing on the material.

I do mine online.

We are getting a new requirement next year for an interactive "implicit bias" training class.

no attending, we have to have 36 hours every 4 years for our broker's license.  I have to have an additional 60 (some very specific) hours for my instructors license.  I do attend the Georgia Real Estate Educators Association meeting/convention annually.

I'm a broker in California and Hawaii.  California's renewal is every 4 years and Hawaii every 2 years.  I've gone to Hawaii's conventions (who wouldn't if it's at the Hilton Hawaiian Village?). It's actually good to get to know all the vendors participating because it's such a small community.  Suggest skipping the looong lunch and it's speeches and go jump into the ocean for a refreshing swim instead.

Yes! I always attend (in person) annual State REALTOR Conventions. In addition, I attend (in person) our annual TEXAS REALTORS Winter Meetings in Austin. For renewal (every 2 years/in person) I need to take 18 hours of approved CE: 8 hours of Legal Update 1 and 2, 3 hours of contract-related courses, 7 hours of elective CE. Also, 6-hour of Broker Responsibility as part of my CE and in between renewals, I take additional CE classes offered as many as possible. FYI new agents renewing for the first time must have a total of 270 qualifying CE hours 4 hrs Legal 1, and 4 hrs Legal II prior to renewal.

I used to attend conventions, they had a spring and fall event here in Colorado, but they have been very poorly attended the past dozen years or so. in early 2000 there would be 10K agents show up, now they are lucky to get 200 - I rented a booth in 2019 and I doubt I saw more than 50 agents, mostly title reps that had their own booths just bopping by -

As for credits, we need 24 every 3 years, and that includes a 4 hour annual update course that must be taken every year, the other 12 hours can be electives in anything else the agent wants. Our company offers all the FREE CE classes an agent wants, as we prefer them to be as educated as possible.

We haven't had in person conversions, or EXPO's, as they've been called here and those were not at the state level, more local. I liked to attend to get a morning and afternoon CE class in, reconnect with colleagues over a nice lunch, enjoy the trade booths, etc. In CT we need 12 hours of CE plus NAR Ethics. 6 credits of 3 each are mandatory (usually law and fair housing) and 6 are electives, again 3 hrs each.
