I live in Cary NC which is a suburb of Raleigh. We don't have billboards thankfully. Parts of Raleigh does have billboards. I do see a particular Real Estate company who buys homes and turns around and sells them advertise on billboards as well as the radio and news. Having lived in Orlando, I'm not a big fan of billboards. I think they are eye pollution. Now having said that, I also spent part of my childhood in TN and who doesn't know about the Rock City Barns? For some reason those don't bother me. I think it is because they're spread out and nestled in beautiful landscaping. As a matter of fact, I was looking at a barn from a distance while showing a home the other day and thought, that barn looks perfect for a Rock City ad. Here's a cute one from RV.com

My mind is very good at filtering out all sorts of advertising as I go through my day.  Not sure if I would have noticed this one.

If they are out the I am not noticing them in my area.

I haven't seen any of those ads in ages. I think cost is probably the problem. I've seen more TV spots than anything else.

Andrew I haven't seen any real estate billboards here in Phoenix in a very long time.  I see attorney billboards, HVAC companies and roofers.  I'll be on the look out for something new and exciting.

we have a firm billboard.... it's directional from a main highway and says we're lake specialist.  It's worth every penny

I don't see many billboards in my immediate area. There is a person in a nearby town that has a BIG sign on his property with sarcastic and funny political commentary. Nothing Real Estate.

We have them, but none are clever...in fact some feel like a waste of money given no call to action or incentive is advertised...just a giant photo, logo and contact info.

IN my slice of paradise, the billboards present one of 3 messages.
1. Convince. I will buy. Real quick. No Showings. Pay for your move.
2. Local expert.....Your DUNEDIN specialist
3. $$$Billion dollars in Pinellas County sales
In Miami one Billboard stuck in my mind. It read:
"Your wife is HOT!"
Call One-hour Air Conditioning.

I think it takes more courage than imagination to get a very responsive marketing message.

Have seen some bill boards but mostly bus benches! When the bench is in use the message is blurred! Kinda funny!
