Usually yes. This year, no. Many of my clients are out of town on a weekend vacation. They're texting me to show them homes virtually. I did tell a select few I would be happy to do a virtual tour on Saturday. I'm honestly surprised at the number of new listings that hit the market this weekend. Not only is it Easter weekend but also passover.

Not today, I'm busy, busy showing homes and moving 3 escrows along.
But, I always take Sundays off, so every Sunday is Easter to me; a chance to rest, reflect, recharge and really have some fun!

There is always a real estate market and folks needing or wanting to buy or sell. If the agent or broker is MIA or has not stocked the website, blogging, social media and video channels with a help yourself buffet of property listings in all price ranges and types, sure.
Wabbit season will be leaner, slower because you dropped off real estate radar Peter Mohylsky. Broker -BRIX REALTY . Real estate is hands on, interactive and tied to emotions and other people's timetables. The holidays are when they go online to search for whatever you are peddling for property, for area information and help with the buy, sell, trading of local real estate process.

Easter is one day for some and a weekend for others. Then...the market continues to be brisk...good for sellers and a challenge for buyers.

Not signicantly.
My reply to someone who wants me to work on a holiday, or in this case, on a Sunday:
"Hi, Client / Customer
You want to preview homes [or discuss your listing] this Sunday, April 17? That works for me.
I will be in Church on Sunday morning. We can meet afterwards. Let's start at 1:00PM, that gives us 6 or 7 hours of daylight. See you then!"

You have Easter and Passover going on, so that takes care of two of the main religions in my region. No idea about the others.
In my experience, holidays are usually a half-day thing. Egg hunt in the morning, services/dinner in the evening. There is usually the late morning and early afternoon to see property, if something came out that needed to be jumped on.

In the past Real Estate cycles, perhaps holidays did apply braking to actions. However today, if you snooze, you lose literally. Do we really want to create a story about how we failed? It was a holiday so we waited? The early bird who gets the worms eats well & steady. The other birds? Not so much. Why? The secret is well known: Work smarter not harder

Doubtful in my market which remains strong for sellers and a challenge for buyers. Easter is not celebrated by everyone.

I think it will be a shorter weekend for showings, as unless a home is vacant, most likely there won't be any showings allowed.

I think it depends on the year. It was also spring break here this past week, so things have been quiet as many people are out of town.

Not in our market.
However, many families do travel for Easter.

I have to say all holidays do slow things down.

Not in this market Peter. You can find me at the 'remote office' tomorrow, strategizing for the following work week! ⛳

It depends! In past years when active, I tried too avoid showings to spend time with family. Circumstances dictated exceptions. In this market, an exception is warranted.

Easter ignites the market as does Memorial Day & 4th of July. Labor day begins a slowdown and Christmas and New Years halts the market for a couple of months.

I was shocked at how many showing requests I got for my listings this weekend.
Crazy showing agents that dont know how to set expectations with their clients.
