Evey area is different and so will the responses be to your question.  In my area, SE Wisconsin -- the weather is actually better than many areas around the country.  Personally, we have had a mild winter and I have not seen the weather to be causing the market to cool off.  The market is still challenging:

For Buyers:  not enough inventory - thus high competition - and overbidding to try and win a deal

For Sellers: not putting their house on the market because of the low inventory -- and their fear of being homeless, should their house sell and then they are unable to locate suitable housing.

I think Spring will bring more activity -- but nothing remarkable.  

Summer will stay about the same going into Fall.  Then I can't even begin to guess. I don't have a crystal ball.

Well, while 71 degrees & sunny is a "cold winter" in San Diego😎, I'd say things are already hot and busy here. Rates will continue to increase but so mildly it'll hardly matter. Estimated average = 3.7% by year end- still amazing!

Cold weather has not cooled the market in our area.

Smart consumers are anxious to take advantage of the very attractive mortgage interest rates.

The market in the Sunny Bay Area will stay hot but not as hot as in the past due to rising interest rates. There will continue to be a disparity in the number of buyers vs sellers that will continue to put upwards pressure on prices. If the value of real estate follows the long-term trend of the last 50+ years, those that buy now will be happy with their decision  for years to come.

Another blizzard, another day. If we don't get out there we'd never sell anything.

Cold weather?  Not in my area.  I expect triple-digit temps this summer and the market will continue to be hot. As hot as the past several years - only time will tell.

Folks need places to live, especially in cold weather.

Not in Arizona, although our cold is different than the cold of the Noreaster states. December, Arizona recorded all time record median highs in sales prices and 20+ offers on homes is common. Prices are expected to rise in 2022 with more in more people moving to the Grand Canyon State.

I'm doing business in a bunch of states, and none of them have cooled at all.  Even my frozen TX friend's markets are on fire right now.

We had an amazing January - even better than January of 2021.  Our market is on fire!

The median price of home in Elk Grove rose over $30k from November to December our market seems to be picking up.  My report covering January will be out soon and it will be interesting to see if the trend continues.

And yes, I do think it will stay hot into and through the summer, then slow down a bit.

Typically there is a seasonal low of inventory this time of the year and it picks up around march/april.  We put one on the market last week and it sold in multiple offers, so the market is still doing good here.

Summer is definitely HOT!

It seems like every third day or so someone posts a questions that is essentially, "What are your predictions for the market?"  We get this question more often than we get the one about the most important fiduciary duty.

If any one of us knew the answer to what was going to happen to the market, we would be not only rich but famous as well.

Since the downtown condominium market in Chicago began to recover, it has remained active regardless of the weather.

Here in NH winter waited util the new year  to arrive. Our spring market started the 2nd week of January and a blizzard and ice storm the last 2 weeks have not cooled it off. It does cancel showings for the day but then when things are clear, its like boom..... explosion of showings and offers

Things are moving right along in Arizona and the market stays hot like the weather.

If we have snow or ice it may stop things for a day or two. Other than that we're starting to heat up.

We have had some snowstorms roll through, but with such low inventory, doesn't stop buyers from viewing.

It was eighty degrees today here in Santa Clarita, California and at 10:20 pm it was still seventy three degrees.  Unusual for February.

80F in L.A. : no cooling at all at the moment. 

The weather isn't going to impact what happens in our SoCal market.

we're still crazy busy even this winter.... but we're never cold when it comes to weather for more than a few days at a time before it's 70 again.

Still low inventory and buyers are still trying to buy before interest rates go up.

Phoenix has lovely weather this time of year and the market is still running hot.  Many people are moving here from other states so that makes it a bit difficult for buyers to compete with other bids.

In my part of Canada we slow down in the hot humid summers.  Winter is what we do best, lol
