Most of the time I give feedback when it is asked for. Otherwise, I mind my own business.
There are times when feedback is asked for and I decline. Why?
Because the world seems to have gone completely mad. People are offended at the way the wind blows. Why poke an already angry and upset bear?
Live and let live.
Be and let be.
It works for me, Richie.

Do I give feedback? Sometimes. It seems that every time a package is delivered, I am asked for feedback. We had a monthly insect prevention treatment yesterday at our home and I got a message asking for feedback.
Doing your job the was it is supposed to be done with no complaint from the receiving party provides feedback automatically.

Many have commented on giving feedback, so I'll respond on receiving it.
The spirit in which I receive it often depends on the spirit in which it is given. Some times the spirit is "I care about it and want you to succeed."
Other times it is, "I am smart and I want you to know how smart I am, so I'm going to tell you what you are doing wrong."
Other times the attitude is, "There is only one right way to do this, and it's my way. You aren't doing it my way, which means you are doing it wrong."
If someone gives me unsolicited feedback that I'm not interested in, I don't discuss it. I'll say something like, "I'll consider that. Thanks."
In a different case, when I care about the person and I care about their feedback sometimes I'll follow-up and say, "I considered your feedback the other day. I decided to modify it." Or, "This is what I'm going to do instead" I want them to know that even though I don't always follow their advice to the tea, I do value it and consider it.

I've been getting and giving feedback since my college days - that's just part of the journey of life. As a coach and mentor of course I give feedback, that's why they hired me. I don't give feedback unsolicited. Not my style. Do what you thinks works best for you....

I have found it is often best to wait to be asked before giving feedback.

The only feedback I want to hear is an offer.
The only feedback I want to give is an offer.
I like to operate on the premise that the seller's agent knows what they are doing and have taken it into consideration and conveyed it to their client.
If a seller's agent presses me for feedback, I'll be gracious and diplomatic.
"We so appreciated your seller's time and enjoyed the viewing. Our clients are uncertain about their direction at this time and if that changes will let you know."
I have ways to tell you nothing with many words. LOL

Sometimes, I hold back. If you asked me this question twenty years ago, I would say absolutely, however, it is not beneficial to me to provide feedback so I choose to remain silent.

I ask in a broker's open situation. I ask if I have a good relationship with the agent and value their opinion.
When I work with buyers they elect if I am to provide feedback on a listing or not. Sometimes feedback can insult and then that's the house they decide to offer on.... so perhaps not best to have said what they wanted to after a showing.
Once a buyer has ruled a property out I certainly will give my opinion to listing agents of things that could be better.

To me "feedback" is communication. As such it becomes a connection-point.

If asked, I provide honest feedback. If I ask, I hope for the same in return. Regardless of if it's an agent regarding a showing or a potential client that chose someone else.

I offer feedback when asked. As to how detailed I get depends on whether I feel my input will be appreciated and accepted properly.

Seek first to understand and then to be understood is good policy. And, then again, sometimes you have to pass. Choose wisely!

Richie,
We do not give it unless asked. We are not here to fix the world. And no one "robs" any one by withholding feedback. It is none of anyone's business, We are not the ultimate judge or giver of feedback. A

Everyone wants feedback now, you cannot even go grocery shopping without letting them know "your experience". Unless it is a showing I did, rarely send in feedback.

When asked, I do give honest feedback in a professional manner. When LA, an offer is the best kind of feedback. Recently walked through a house where the past owner smoked, it was so nicotine saturated, my lungs started to burn. It also could have been due to the air fresheners sitting in the corners of most of the rooms. LOL
Glad the LA did not ask for feedback...

Since EVERY organizatin today solicits feed back, includind brokers and agents who employ automated mechanisims, I have become selective regard to whom I offer feedback.
If the question seem generic, I remain silent.
If the questions reflect directly on aspects of the property or action, I perceive the person is soliciting true guidance.
For example feedback asking, "Do you think the price is 'too high,' 'too low,' or 'just right?" To me this is a worthless question that invalidates the entire effort.
Of more interest to me is how others create a meaningful, actionable feedback form and how they analyze the data and determine when and how to respond.
