It does... and the few times I reported some egregious behavior by an agent vis-a-vis my listings fines were levied.

Yes. For some things they're more likely to be levied than others. Almost everything outside of the anti-trust violation known as "clear cooperation" is a non-monetary slap on the wrist.

The question is about mls violations and not Code of Ethics violations.
Yes, Gary Frimann, CRS, GRI, SRES, our mls has automatic fines for certain fairly minor transgressions. Our listings have a "Correction" button that can be hit to alert the mls overseers of a potential problem.
Other fines, monetary and other, are possible if a member is found responsible through the hearing process of a violation.

yes & some of them are pretty stiff. I don't want to 'donate' any of my funds.
They do print who gets fined & for what reason.

I believe they do Gary Frimann, CRS, GRI, SRES
As for enforcement ... in my opinion ... it is a bloody JOKE.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The powers that be do not have the intentional fortitude to take action - likely due to fear of upsetting their members despite the fact that rules are broken, sellers and their property are disrespected, oh, you hit a nerve with this!
It is the wild wild west out here ... literally!
More agents need to be cracked down upon - but instead, we are left to deal with the woke culture and all the entitlements that come with that.

Supposedly. I do not believe they are imposed on members. If so, there would not be so many violations.

They do and the MLS rules and fines were just updated and emailed to members to read and sign. I have not had time to do that yet so having some reading ahead of me.

Yes they have fines, I have heard they give a number of warnings before levy a fine. I have not been fined so I'm not sure how strictly they are enforced.

Agents are always throwing each other under the bus. Lots of paperwork. That is the culmination of the punishment.
Now there are 'systemic' things monitored by software and the system posts an alert "This is a finable offense,' The agent is allowed several days to fix the problem.
Most often it is a agent reporting an image that brands the agents intellectual property. As members we are compelled to forfieit all intellectual.......so the MLS can sell it to Zillow.

Ours seem to be selectively enforced. After a warning there are fines.

It's an organization. Therefore, it is political. Those who are connected slide. Those who are not pay. Sometimes yes, sometimes no!

They exist and agents that are under the same flag comply or get fined but out of area agents/brokers can do as they please.

Yes, fines vary based in the offense, some minor violations get a warning for first offense with escalating fines if they keep doing the same thing and some are quite steep and yes, they are enforced

I've never seen or heard of a fine in over 20 years in our MLS. Drug possession, DUI, assault, domestic abuse, etc and never even a slap on the wrist provided they admit to it with the license renewal. Their reasoning being if they worked as an Accountant it wouldn't affect their job either.
