Does one chase time or is time the chaser?  And is the victor in either contest deserving of the "spoils"?  Ah, so many questions yet how we answer says much.  

I have to admit that I have never been very good at time management. I plan my day and simply work through it handling interruptions as needed and avoiding distractions as well as possible.

I organize, schedule, and manage my life ... priorities first. I live a clean, healthy, simple, life. That makes me happy.  To each their own. 

Time is an illusion. Enter into the quantum and we know this to be true. 

My late husband used to call me Sister Chronos the Goddess of Time! LOL I am acutely aware of the value of my time and jealously guard it. 
That's how I spent the last 6 weeks on 3 vacations and still made deals with clients waiting in the Q . . . I won't take on more than I can handle and I leave big spaces in my schedule for 'whatever comes up/whatever I want to do' . . . 

Time is a human construct. Faeries don't have Smartphones and angels don't have calendars!

I see that some folks are waxing philosophies.  such as Michael Jacobs.  I do agree with time management  I work on improving this skill but I have numerous pot holes along my daily journey that turn into time suckers.  

I build lists, stick to a schedule and plan my day that change as necessary.

I plan, God and my wife laugh and change things.

I have a calendar checklist I use in the morning to make sure I get all my morning things done. I also have a bunch of regular "appointments" on my schedule to make sure I do them on a regular basis. "Write land blog" or "Call such-and-such". There are days though where I just say, oh this schedule is boring and I ignore it. Haha.

By the way, if we set our schedule ourselves, it won't ever run our lives. We run our lives by scheduling things.

When I first got into real estate full time in 2006, I spent many hours doing what other agents were doing.   If there was a new widget, I went for it too.  Looking back, I spent an inordinate amount of time in the learning process of them. Then  I woke up one day and said "no more".  There has got to be a more efficient way to get clients.  And I did just that.  IT WAS ALL A MINDSET. I visualized where I wanted to be and narrowly focused on that. And it worked.   

Time spent froliking with Unicorns tends to pass rapidly.
When the sand in the hour glass is at it lowest, times seems to speed up.
Doing those things that create discomfort and pain tend to make time stand still.
What do you call it when one can do all three?
Ten hours Saturday Morning participating in the Pinellas Trail Challange, a 46 mile run from the South of Pinellas County to distant north destination.
All of the functions of time management, physical disipline, mental strength, hydration, nutrician and form maintaince come into play and the weak link will take the runner down.
Those who crossed the finish line are masters at managing the tasks in time.
PS: Runners high a a myth created by non-runners.

To be honest, I have noticed for a long time already that each day seems to go faster than the next. I blink and another day, week, month, and even year has gone.  I manage my schedule and so I always build in "extra time" for those unforseeables! It's easy to feel like life is running us if we don't take time to be Thankful and Acknowledge our Creator. 

In my life , Summer flys by and Winter drags on 

It always has been said - the older we get, the more time flies!   I am a very organized person, use my calendar effectively, and believe I run my life unless I have several transactions at once.

My time management skills developed over the years and once I learned recharging the batteries need some time, it became even easier.

Time seems to fly faster every day.
