I carry breath mints with me. I'll take them out and take one for myself and offer it to the other person. My mother always said "never refuse a breath mint if offered" I figured other mother imparted that wisdom, too.

One time there was an agent who was "F"-bombing frequently. Every time she dropped a bomb I moved a couple of feet in a different direction. After a bit, she asked why I kept moving around to which I replied "I'm just tryin' to dodge all those F-bombs you're dropping. She apologized.

I choose my friends and clients carefully and it's not my business to tell someone else how to live.  Having said that, I've known people with emotional and physical problems who needed help and tried to help them. One thing I no longer play around with and that is "risk".  Even in trying to help someone who doesn't think they need it, lies risk.  And that has to be seriously weighed before stepping in.

I do not understand what your intention is in the question when you state "or go on record." It could mean several different things.

Rude, disrespectful, dishonest, abusive people I will not work with.

I've never experienced smelly, poor hygiene people. Even prior to social distancing,  I cannot imagine being so close to someone where I might pick up on that.

Home is where the hearth is.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking.  Do I "go on record"?

A little colourful language can be easily tolerated... a little bad breath is not the end of the world (and honestly how would one know behind all today's masks)?

uhhh, I never get close enough to do a breath check. I will & ask about an alcohol smell like too many beers.

I once had a clients kid tell me a joke that a 8 year old shouldn't have known about. My reaction was take me back to the office please (we were in their car). Mother made no reaction.

If it was a friend that keeps dropping f bombs or treating someone poorly I would say something. I will not tolerate people treating others poorly personally or professionally. I don't care about the risk or loss of a friend or client that treats others poorly they are not worth having in my life.

I try to keep my opinion to myself unless it threatens me. I have had people who went fron rude to threatening and then they get 1 warning. Then i can cut them lose, refer them out or try to straighten them out if i think it is salvagable.

It depends on the person and the situation. Who is it? Why am I with them? I would be more likely to tell someone I'm involved with personally (like a child or sibling) that they could use a shower/etc but not someone I'm working with. With someone I am working with, I can deal with smelly-breath or smelly body (take your own car and I'll meet you there!) and bad manners or vile language (I've heard it all). I wouldn't stop working with someone for those reasons.

I contain my responses based on my vast knowledge regarding what is within their control. Halitosis, body oder (in FLORIDA) for examle are often beyond the persons control.
However langage requires different assessment.
Vulgar language, as defined in the dictionary is the language of the common person. I would include in the vulgar category those who use dude, y'all and bro. Those who enunciate puctuation and mouth breathers. This is an education issue either no or bad education. I can work with that.
Profane language is never to be tolerated. What of abundace exists in the heart the mouth speaks.  I will not stay in attendence at the BBQ, ball game or house event that exposes me to such a caustic environment. I have not need to be arount those whose heart of so full of violence.

As a nurse, I had the Nurses Code of Ethics by which I had to practice - regardless. We treated anyone and everyone, regardless of any of the criteria you metioned above, Richie.

As a Realtor®, we are free to fire/refer out clients whose bad manners offend us. I can count on one hand the number of clients I simply could not work with due to their manners, or lack therof.

As far as the other descriptions go, I've never noticed that in a client but, probably would never mention anything to them about their breath or hygiene. Most people aren't aware that they have bad breath and I would certainly hate to be unaware of my own and be judged for it!
