I don't like either one of them.  But that's just my opinion.

Are they legal?  Probably.  They have attorneys review everything they say or do.  Too much money is at stake!

Looks like Beck owns a real estate company with a broker-in-charge and agents to handle the referral business. Nothing illegal about that. Not sure about the other guy.

I think it's great the public finally found out about Ramsey's referral scam. It's totally pay to play on his site just like Z. It's like the public doesn't realize that the agents pay & pay BIG. Ramsey doesn't 'endorse' them as it seems.

I'm familar with the Glenn Beck one, I hear it on his radio program from time to time.  These are nothing new.  The airlines have had similar programs for quite some time.

 

These seem to me no different than the model Zillow or Realtor.com uses.  They're generating the leads and then selling them as a commodity to agents.

 

These are not in my business model.  However, if one of them needs a CA Broker to oversee their operations in Cali, for a six-figure a year salary that does NOT start with a "1", I'm available.

Here is Dave's TN license. I know he started in RE and the bank man came after him and he couldn't pay his debts ( as I am sure we are all well aware of). So since I can't read the article becasue I don't have the entire link to copy, I can't comment on what is said in it, but he is licensed.
