I think it depends on your area. We haven't had landline phones in a number of years.  But when we did it was a big system. Gary might be of more help to you on this than I can be.

Sorry to hear that you have to go that route, if I had to rely on att I would consider moving.

If you lived closer I would gift you all of my old land line phones which I am delighted to not need anymore.

GTE was the company back the last time I had a landline.  Don't think they're even still around.  We had somewhere around 16 lines back in the day.

I don't have an answer for you, Fred... we got rid of our landlines probably 10 years ago... and the day we cut all ties with AT&T was a very happy day for us.

No clue. It has been years since I had a land line. Way back when when I lived in Palm City Florida, I had a single line with two phone numbers with different rings, one for business and one for personal use. Can't remember the serive provider.

The phone I have is for office use only.  Not a traditional phone ... yet I like it because it is small and I can walk around with it hands-free and talk.  I have had this model phone for over 15years.  I will never give up my landline ... I use it 90% more than I do my cell phone.

We have Verizon land lines. Any phone manufacturer will work. We currently have Panasonic phones. ATT should be able just run a 2nd line to your house. We use to have 2 different landline #s, but got rid of one of them a couple years ago.

I have to have a dedicated landline for my other business . . . I have a Panasonic but you'll need a different model than mine for 2 lines . . . before the Panasonic I had a VTech and I did not have a problem with sound quality on either one. The VTech did handle 2 lines.

Fred,

We gave away our phone models as pictured in your question...Have you thought of having a satellite installed.  I will come back afterr talking to our best friend as to how he solved his internet issues (in Los Angeles).  He lives close to a mountain that blocks the signal, and he is a professor teaching via Zoom, and his internet kept on shutting down  A

This is a good question.

We have a different issue. Chef Dolores wears hearing aids and has difficulty with telephone conversations. We need a better phone for her desk.

Spectrum for my landline bundled with tv and internet.  I work with many seniors and sometimes they move to an assisted facility.  I like to personally deliver the documents but sometimes fax is needed.  So yes, my landline also serves as fax.

I have Magic Jack as land lines through the internet though. You can transfer prexisitng numbers you may have and they also work for fax. About $45 per year per line. Long distance included in that price. Been using for 7+ years. It is good. Jeff
