Wherever you place your cursor is where the photo inserts.  Once inserted, use the right, left, or center justification on the tool bar.  Click advanced to add space between the picture so the text does not kiss the photo.

You can place one featured image that goes above the body of your post.

In addition, you can place as many images as you want in the body of your post. Like others have mentioned, place the cursor where you want the image, then click the image icon (mountains). 

You can align the image by highlighting image > Format > Align > (left, right, etc.), or by using the align icons in the toolbar.
