I worked a few hours on Christmas Eve and had a few last-minute things to get at the grocery store.  

As for New Year's Eve - I will likely be working in my office for a few hours preparing for the New Year.  We are still in lockdown here in Santa Clara County California. I will leave it at that.

I did not work at all on Christmas Eve, no need to. New Year's Eve will be the same, on an as needed basis, but traditionally it is very quiet here.

I worked very little but, did receive two Offers on a property I have for sale - yes, on Christmas Eve! For the most part, I spent the day doing something else I love doing - cooking!

I never work on Christmas Eve. Didn't in the corporate world and certainly don't do so now when I'm technically an independent contractor.

Depends on what's going on.  Typically I don't work Christmas eve.  New Year's eve, I've typically "worked" for the Sheriff's Department but I'm retired now, so I'll either be asleep or playing video games or watching something on Netflix.  Don't give a hoot about a ball dropping in NYC.
