It's finally clearing here on the Monterey Peninsula.  It was pretty brutal for awhile. 

We've actually had blue skies for the most part the last couple of days.  Something about a weather system in our favor.

Some on the East Coast say they have smelled but I think it's just causing darker skys

We are starting to clear out after a week, Monday and Tuesday we were a 10+ you could hardly see down the street. Today we could see the sun and clouds. 

The air finally cleared last afternoon!  I was able to hike today.  So happy after a week of hazardous, awful air.  I could only see about 300 yards. Terrible.

Will Hamm we are still getting smoke in my area, but decreasing in the last couple of days.

Yes there is some to the west but the air quality is much improved in the last few days, and we actually have some blue sky.

Yes, as of Saturday 9/19, we are still getting smoke. Supposedly it will be clearing out soon --- but we shall see!

Will, the only smoke we are getting is from the outdoor restaurant smokers, and they always seem to be upwind sharing their carcinogenic goodies with the rest of the diners.

I would say it is hazy here. 

We just drove from California to Idaho and smoky air could be seen throughout the drive through Nevada and South Oregon to Boise. The best air quality I have seen in days is here in the Boise area. Still somewhat smoky, thought.

maybe it will rain more soon and clear it up.

We are located in Santa Clarita, California about thirty-two miles north of downtown Los Angeles.  The skies are cloudy, eyes are watering and there's a slight odor of smoke.  It is much clearer today with the breeze coming off shore.

None took the time to visit but we do have some of our own going on.

The smoke made it all the way to NH. At first it made for some nice sun set but then drowned out our sun for a couple days. Finally a cold front came and pushed it away. 

No smoke here.

It has cleared

Obviously, I'm not in the danger zone here in NY. But, the other day, we had smoke during the sunrise and things were more yellow/slightly a tad orange.

Not smoke, but there is some haze that is affecting the color of our sunsets in Connecticut; amazing.

Haven't had any smoke here thank goodness but plenty of rain. We are  still waiting out whats happening in the tropics untill the end of November.

Las Vegas is under another air quality warning. The fires are bringing a lot of smoke our way.

Good question. Just heard that in Chicago the sunrise will be hazy as a result of the smoke in the upper atmosphere. Enjoy your day! 

News reports have comments that smoke has reached our area but I have not noticed.

Yes Will be have been getting a constant haze over the Phoenix metro for the past several weeks now drifting in from California. Jeff
