Not one bit....All planets go through this and operate on levels that exceed human comprehension...Something that has been around for billions of years, with a mysterious start-up and purpose is to be respected not told what to do. For balance, we do extract/create poisons and dump them in concentration here and there something we can do better on. However it doesn't stop the systems at play. Saying that, leave planet business to planets and we do well to mind our affairs which are in dire need

No.  In California it's poor forest management and bad politics.  We don't let the forests burn regularly like we should, because we build too many houses in them.  Others are from poorly maintained equipment, high winds, low humidities and high heat.  This is pretty normal for California.

Yes and weather and people not trimming back 250 feet from structures and building in areas that have been wild, and population growth, and not cutting the zillions of trees dead from bug borers - there are forests of brown dead dry trees, not planning how to keep people from moving the disease and bug infected wood to areas that don't have it thus spreading problems and cutting back of using prison inmates for fire prevention, forestry and now they won't allow them to work on the fires, and arson, and building codes 

Wild Fires are an annual occurrence here in CA, they've unfortunately been more this year than ever. Harder to prep for fire season  in part due to Trump's cuts to our forestry/fire management budgets a while back and caused by various reasons from heavy rain creating more growth this year, that then dies and becomes larger fuel sources - to lightening, arson and roadside incidents like exhaust pipes and tossed cigarettes.

We have a couple of small local fires right now - both lightning caused. Our local forests have been poorly managed for years (ever since they stopped logging) which has led to a build up of overgrown trees and brush which is ripe for burning.  If they would reasonably log again, it would do a lot to help with these isues. I have seen too much of this recently:

Yes, it does play a part in the frequency and severity of your droughts. 

And as Endre mentioned, good forest management would help with this issue too.

A well managed vigorous forest will have less fuel buildup as well as less grass and brush in the understory to spread the fires.

California's fires were started by very unusual thunder and lighting activity over a large sction of the state - over 1,00 lighting strikes -  (not by PG&E) during a very unusual heat wave. Nature is being very weird. Why? I am not in a possession to say.

Smokey Bear must be on vacation.  Remember, only you and I can prevent forest fires.

Global warming...sure, why not...that is easy and safe to blame.

It is like saying a pandimic is killing to many when in reality bad choices that lead to pre-existing conditions is the killer. Don't be fat and exercise. That a well proven vaccine.  Fat weakens. Covid kills.

....tree huggers. Thining the herd, and the trees is responsible resource management. Yet the picketers are the ones on the news.

Are those who live by the sea shore going to regret that choice? I think so.......unless they can get the Feds to put the taxpayer on the 'bill to' line.

Dry weather and lightening are the perfect conduits for forest fires. Fires can be destructive, yet this is nothing new to our earth. Throughout the earth’s life, this has been a cycle and a process of rebuilding a healthy forest. The natural pattern of recovery after a wildfire is referred to as “ecological succession.” The process whereby the land, plants and wildlife move through various ecological stages in order to return to a state of relative stability. Forests can become unhealthy in many ways: Invasive species of plants and other harmful things like bug infestations; trees grow out of check; canopies become too dense light can’t penetrate to produce the needed life below them. Soil becomes depleted of rich nutrients. We see the devastation, however... it’s a natural process the earth cleanses... It’s a way it begins anew. Proactive control burns help keep safety in place near homes. Control burns also serve the same purpose, rebuilding a healthy forest. With massive fires being a renewal process of earth since it’s very existence, how could this a result of global warming?

Dry weather and hot temperatures produce a perfect environment for fires if lightening strikes or if man is careless (majority of fires BTW), also tree huggers (under the disguise of environmentalists) who refuse to allow maintenance are to blame for the destructive inferno's that continue to eat up our forests, further destroying people's homes and lives. Wood is meant to be utilized for furniture, paper, housing supplies and much, much more!

These things can be cyclical in nature including warming and cooling trends. Humans haven't been good stewards of the planet so we are partly to blame

Yes, of course.  It's not the only factor, but it's a big one and is probably having a big impact on how large the fires are.

Not this year - we have an abnormal storm roll in, just about a day's worth of storm, but it was filled with lightning and hit at a bad time, things are dry - PG&E equipment and human error (mechanical) caused the other major headline fires, with some arson sprinkled in.  Poor forest management plays a roll, but fires have always been a part of CA, the severity and spread of them we do somewhat control, and we do a poor job of it collectively as a state thanks to our politicians.
