That little Tx button on the toolbar is important.
Select the text, hit the Tx button to remove the old formating, then format it the way you want it.

I guess I should make a post and see if I have any problem so that I can better answer the questions that so often come up about problems with posting.

Bypass the ActiveRain editors, and use old-fashioned HTML.

if you are copy and pasting you have to strip the code from everything before you edit size and color.

You have to learn how to use the editor correctly. If you are pasting out of Word you might have problems but others sometimes don't. What is happening is you have different font styles & different sizes. I can't write an entire tutorial on this as others have.

Vinicio,
All pictures are sized at 700. Are you copying and pasting from Word or from some other source? I have not had problems today, except for the site being wonky with 504 Gateway..A

I use WordPress for my website and blog. I have found that if I copy and paste code from WP to AR, it is mostly compatible, but I need to make some edits for image alignment. I don't bother editing header font sizes.
For fast page loading on desktop and mobile devices, I don't use large-sized high-resolution images.
N.B. Content writers take note, make sure your website and blog content are tested and ADA compliant for web accessibility for people with disabilities. The free WAVE browser plugin can detect many errors.

If you are copying and pasting from another program, chances are the formatting and colors will not paste correctly.
It's always best to start with non-formatted text (paste it in Notepad and copy it) and apply all the formatting in the AR editor.
Images wider than 700 pixels will be resized to 700 pixels.
Images smaller than 700 pixels will show at true size.

It does happen. You can click the clear format button - last to the right on the second row of options when writing a post. Then click the size of font you want to use.

I had this problem every time, until recently. I had tried all the suggestions here and nothing worked. So here's what I now do....
First I write the post on my own website (a wordpress site). Then I use Firefox (not sure if it matters, but I have problems with Safari) and in AR, I hit "write post". Then I go back to my original wordpress post and copy the entire thing, but not from the "Visual" view. Instead, I copy from the "Text" view which has all the <strong><!--more--> etc words.
When I get back to the AR new post section, I hit the source code option which looks like this <> and I paste my info.
Then I save the post. Then I change font to whatever I want, fix my paragraphs/formatting, and submit the post. And it's been perfect everytime.
Not sure if that will work for you, but it finally fixed the issues I was having.
Good luck!

That little tx button in the editing toolbar is the key when we are copying and pasting from another program like Word. If you write in notepad it still needs to be formatted - but easier to do by selecting all and changing the font and then bolding, underlining, and Htags.
It's a real PITA for sure. And among the many reasons why I rarely post here anymore.

When I post, I do create the post in the AR editor, and still often times have to fix it. The font gets all wonky, or photos don't show up.

That happens to me often. Right now, I just do my best on the looks of my blogs and move on. In my opinion, my priority is to generate business and not to spend countless hours just to fix my fonts.

If you write it in something like Word, Word is newer and more advanced than the editor here. It has fonts, formats and such that do not translate to active rain.

I've seen that happen to me a couple of times, myself SOOOO It's you...lol
