Regardless of where you put a dimmer switch one has to get up & go to it. If we are complaining about having to bend down that is subjective. As for cosmetics, it doesn't lead the way for Good-housekeeping magazine at the least. I have seen some interesting things in homes. I remain amused. Heres a thought: Can a dog be trained to turn this knob on command?
