In the 1980s, every elementary school kid in Central Florida watched the space shuttle launches from the school field.  We would start watching it on TV, then run outside to see it go up.

Launch has just officially aborted.  Next attempt on Saturday.

I was awaiting another moment in history too.  Then the scrub.  Reminded me of another scrub, a moment in history, back in the 1960s when the same thing happened.  Histoyr does repeat itself.

Too bad it got aborted, but safety first! We'll stay tuned for Saturday or Sunday. 

      We watched Apollo 11 / Saturn V lift off when we were kids.  From our lake house in central Florida, about 100 miles from Cape Canaveral.  We saw it as it cleared the horizon, then  the first stage dropped off.  Unforgettable!

I did not watch the launch. I did see on the news that it did not happen due to bad weather.  Saturday another attempt will be made. I will not be watching that either.  Enjoy!

I was very busy yesterday, so could not watch.

I planned my afternoon around being home to see it and it was cancelled. Safety first though

Launch deferred.

I am impressed with how well things are going without the government but instead private enterprise. Plus, everything is so modern and stream-lined. Those suits are less bulkier too. I wont be here to see the dawn of steady space travel and of how easy it will be to come and go to the moon, mars and beyond. Wow

Was looking forward to watching with Cooper and it has been rescheduled for Saturday.  Hopefully his parents will watch with him.  He may not remember it, but maybe he will.

No doubt we're making it a point whenever it lifts off the pad.

The launch, of course, did not take place. I hope that it goes well on Saturday.

Well we recorded it as we were both going to be out.  And now maybe we can catch it live on Saturday or Sunday. I am excited about it.  I do remember the first one back in 69 and watching it on TV with my family.  I was a teeny bopper more interested in 'other' things  back then, but it was cool.

I was watching and was so disappointed with the weather!  Fingers crossed for sunny skies on Saturday when many many more people will tune in.
