There's plenty of Print Businesses that could use your print business locally. If the budget allows, support one of them instead of supporting Epson.

I'd double down on digital and not worry about your printer. Luckily print is only 25% of my marketing these days and I give 90% of that to my local printer.

Everything is affected by this crisis. Hopefully, it will subside but I think it will not until after the Nov election

I have not paid attention to printing issues lately as retirement requires little printer use. 

I do think there are some supply chain problems - although I don't know anything about inkjet printers. My problem was trying to find a standalone freezer. Not only are there none at the usual places (home depot, lowes, best buy, walmart, local appliance stores) but we couldn't even order one and wait for it to arrive. So we hunted till we found one that someone was selling on a facebook group. My first thought was that they probably come from China.

China is intent on injuring our Economy period

Regardless of what China did or is doing or what it intends to do in the future, WE, the United States MUST LEARN to NOT depend on products from China.  

Period!

For what its worth...Epson is a Japanese company.

China cannot afford to not export goods. We buy huge amounts of China's exports.

China shut down a huge area of manufacturing for some months. We will see shortages start popping up for all kinds of stuff as the current inventory is used up.

Yes, China did break the supply chain.  A fact that many companies and countries are looking into.  All of a sudden Globalism isn't such a bright road.
