I just can't imagine that salt water and sea air can be harmful to anyone as long as they practice social distancing just to be safe! 

WAY past time. Sheriffs in California and Arizona have already made public statements that they're not going to enforce any lockdown and Arizona governor is being recalled. We live in interesting times. God Bless America

I think it is a fine time to open for business. Past time actually!

Have my own "beach".

  Way too late.  Time to end this Un-Constitutional B.S. and let Americans get back to work!

I’ve never closed for business, I have been open every day this year except Sundays of course. I get out daily, but remotely so I avoid most people personally. Professionally I'm working and the busiest ever of 2020; safely. 

Open everything, let people physical distance or not, and then natural selection and personal health will decide who was right and wrong.

Far too early for "business as usual", however we can do a lot of business while maintaining our physical distancing precautions.

No... the entire idea of all this was to flatten the curve... I believe that's been pretty much accomplished. People need to get back to work.

My beaches are open today and it looks very well controled.  Call me if you would like a piece of this beach.

Well they scared everyone with bogus numbers, now that the truth has come out lets get back to work in a responsible way.

Premature opening of beaches...hair salons...gyms...restaurants...movie theaters...retail establishments of all descriptions will lead to a new wave of infections. It is only a matter of time. It is simply of matter of how severe it will be.

Coronavirus does not care whether you are from a Blue State or Red State...whether you are conservative or progressive...whether you are Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or Decline-to-State...whether you are Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Jew, Muslim or non-believer. The disease is an equal opportunity infector and will strike whenever given the opportunity.

It's definitely too soon here in NY. We are still getting 1,000 new cases per day. But I really hope it works out for the places that open soon and hope they do slowly and carefully.

Re: your beaches, if people space out, that could be fine. I don't think that would be physically possible here iin NY.

I think beaches can be open, and people can be safe. Just don't sit on someone's lap.

Our beaches never closed, and all they did was close up the parking spaces that were next to the sand and nearby to discourage bunches coming in.  It is time already...A

Over the centuries it has been agreed that fresh air, sunlight & activity is vital for a healthy state of well-being. The opposite remains highly questionable. NOTE: salt-air and ocean breezes are considered fresh "health" right out of the oven too! Swimming in the ocean is therapeutic in every sense for the entire body.  Lastly, all hospital stays please God should be less

It is beyond time to open up.  Those at risk would be advised to take whatever precautions they need to, but shutting down everything for this long has to have done SOMETHING other than wreck our economy.

how will you do 6' distancing at the beach????  you can handle that with business....not with laying on the beach....

If we can safely have several dozen people in a grocery store, we can safely have people spread out over the wide expanse of the beach.

In my city, the parks never closed.  I don't know why a park is different from a beach.

If 2,000 to 2,500 deaths each day is the flattened curve then we can expect all hell to break loose when the second wave hits. It is unbelievable how something like this pandemic has taken on politcal sides with so many more worried about the president getting re-elected than the lives of their fellow Americans.

I think people are going to have a hard time social distancing on a beach unless they are very large beaches. Each person needs 6 feet in front, behind, to the left and right of them.

Depends on how the community behaves. Probably a little soon; still need to stay a good distance from each other as the asymptomatic stage is reportedly the most contagious.

I think beaches are important as long as people behave accordingly.  Maybe it's hard in places of high population density though.

No  I don't think it's too soon in our state and others that have very low numbers.  I'm not too sure it was such a great idea to begin with to shut the entire country down.

from what I've seen, some people will respect the need to physical distance from others, and other will be totally clueless or thoughtless. 

That would depend on the area in which the business is located.  My state (CA)  extended the SIP order through May 31, 2020. 

Open for business ... hum ... we will see what happens. 

Beaches are good if people will practice social distancing. You need to avoid public facilities such as rest rooms.

Not too early. I wish ours were opening. They closed NH beaches to the end of the May. NH is doing well. But MA is doing horrible and they are afraid if they open the beaches MA will flood here and spread the virus to others. One thought put forth was to open them mid month for walking, running and simming, but no laying out, no towels, umbrellas or coolers. Sunshine kills the virus, we need to get outside

I think it's time.  As for beaches, I never put my towel down near people I didn't know so I've "socially distanced" in that arena forever as standard practice.  

Open 24/7 & 365/366 days every fourth year.

Thankfully they didnt shut beaches down or parks or hiking trails or places people go to get sunshine, fresh air, hike, snowmachine, fish and hunt. They tried to close bear hunting down and that didnt last long  less than 12 hours...  I Love Alaska!
